Is your Edge an early made 2011? All the issues you mention are covered by TSBs, except the door lock which is apparently common but no known TSB exists (known to me).

Japanese makes have had off switches from at least the 80's. The Chevy Cruze I owned also had one. For some reason American brands started embracing the idea only lately. Even the Ford Expedition had an off switch for the rear cargo light & the 2013 Fusion can have all the courtesy lights stay off when a door is open. Won't be surprised if the 2015 Edge came with one too.

EBay? But it is expensive new: http://m.ebay.com/itm/231221562087 Here is a used one, but I think for base model w/o auto lights: http://m.ebay.com/itm/161393880313 I don't think that the ring is sold separately. -
sun roof closing problem
omar302 replied to lpgao's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
I can concur, I tried it yesterday on my 2011 MKX (Updated switch) and the note applied to point 5. So you follow each step separately (you will have to release the switch between steps) & when you reach step 5, both Glass+Shade will fully open together at the same time & then fully close together (unlike usual operation). -

2015 Ford Edge Introduced - Edge Going Global
omar302 replied to LI Edge's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
Don't know, I was just speculating why. Yes, but now it is the new Fusion Platform (CD4). Looking at images of the trunk of a 2010 & 2013 Fusions shows how the same space, near the rear wheels, is smaller in the 2013 compared to 2010. 2010 Fusion Trunk (old CD3 platform): http://media.caranddriver.com/images/09q4/311246/2010-ford-fusion-sport-awd-trunk-photo-317411-s-1280x782.jpg 2013 Fusion Trunk (new CD4 platform: http://images.gtcarlot.com/pictures/72393602.jpg -

New it is, compared to the previous Edge. But it is being designed off of the Fusion's chassis, so there are some limitations. -
My Ford Touch New Software Release
omar302 replied to tjbron's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
In the main (center Screen): Settings> Help> System Information> CCPU S/W Version Check the number in the middle: If it was 13171, then you have version 3.6.2 (latest North America) If it was 12285, then you have version 3.5.1 If it was 12156, then you have version 3.2.2 If it was 12023, then you have version 3.0.2 (the 1st “Performance upgrade” released in March 2012) Less than that, it is a very old version. Also, you can check here version numbers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MyFord_Touch#Versions -
2015 Ford Edge Introduced - Edge Going Global
omar302 replied to LI Edge's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
Since the 2015 Edge has a new rear suspension setup, my guess is that these humps are to accommodate it (the shock absorbers and/or coil springs). -
You can enable a "Delay" feature in Vehicle>Camera settings of the main (center) screen. This will enable keeping the revers camera on when moving from Reverse to Drive and the Camera will remain on until you reach a certain speed (~5-8 mph, don't remember exactly). But to keep the Camera on in Drive at any other speed cannot be done unless you install an aftermarket kit such as this http://www.coastaletech.com/mytouch2.htm.

Wiring for Paddle Shifters - Sport & non-Sport
omar302 replied to omar302's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
Thanks WWWPerfA_ZN0W, unfortunately the infotrac does not work for me, it seems there is an IP issue from my country. But from the video it seems simple, the wiring & clock spring look very similar to the 2011. Will try to see it when I have some time. -
Wiring for Paddle Shifters - Sport & non-Sport
omar302 replied to omar302's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
We only have 1 dealer in Qatar. So trying a different dealer is not possible. Several things to consider: 1- I know the clockspring has the additional pins, it is the same part for vehicles equipped with & without paddles, but I am not sure wires are present after the clockspring. 2- I don't believe programming would be different, since the paddles don't really add a new function, they do the same job as the +/- switch on the shift knob. The only added feature is the ability to temporarily shift while in 'D' compared to shifting only in 'M' or 'S' for the +/- switch. Considering the above, I would be more inclined to think it's a wiring thing. So to be sure, is it easy to remove the clock spring to check? Would appreciate a simple how to. Thanks. -
Did you try a Master Reset of the center screen?

2013 Edge steering wheel
omar302 replied to toast1850's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
It is a simple job. 30 minutes max, 20 of which just waiting for the power to discharge First you need to disconnect the battery. Wait 10-20 minutes to ensure that the Airbag system is fully discharged. There are 2 small holes, one on each side of the steering wheel, you will need a long rod, like a Alen key and insert it in one hole so you would push a spring inside that would release one side of the Airbag. Then do the other side & the Airbag would come out. Note: Once you have the other steering wheel, you can see how you would push the rod/Alen key inside the holes. Once the airbag is loose, you need to disconnect the 2 wires from it and remove it completely. Take extra caution handling it. Disconnect the wire inside from the clock spring. There is a single bolt holding the steering wheel, I used a T50 torx wrench. Unscrew it & the steering wheel is free to remove. Reverse to install. Again, take extra caution handling the airbag & ensure that your battery is disconnected. This also helps avoiding Airbag Warning lights. Removing the Airbag is similar to below video of the F-150, except the Edge has 2 holes only, not 3. This is the Torx wrench I mean, used T50: http://www.powertoolsdirect.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/f/a/faithfull-star-torx-key-set-of-12-t7-t50.jpg -

2015 Ford Edge Introduced - Edge Going Global

It is official! The 2.7 Ecobooost in the F-150 is rated for 325hp & 375 lbs-ft. Given the expected tranny limitation on the FWD based edge, akirby seems to be spot on with around 330hp (or 325 like the F150) & 350 lbs-ft. From the same article, the 3.5-liter V6 (non-ecoboost) produces 283 horsepower and 255 lb.-ft. of torque http://commetsmigtest.sandbox.autoblog.com/2014/07/22/2015-ford-f-150-specs-revealed-ecoboost/
