Thanks a lot. So, a fully loaded Sport AWD without 21" wheels and without summer tires MSRP's for $ 49,195/-. Now we need to know what is included in the 401 & Driver's packages, and of course the 2.7 Ecoboost's performance.

black box behind rear view mirror
omar302 replied to marykay07edge's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
If it attaches to the windshield & you have rain sensing wipers, it might be the sensor for it. -
Just for information, the fuel used when remote starting your vehicle is not registered in the trip computer. So if you remote start frequently, actual used fuel will be higher than the trip computer.
-
You can use voice commands to change air flow to the floor. Sync button > climate > Floor on.

2011-2012 MFT & MLT have a capacitive button for the hazard lights, just like the other capacitive buttons for the HVAC & media controls. In 2013 they changed to a physical button.
-
On the 2015 F-150 (probably also the Mustang), you'll need to 're-train the sensors. The procedure is stated in the Owners Manual which can be downloaded from Ford's owner or fleet website. So it seems to be cheaper method, utilizing the existing equipment. It is really annoying that it's not available on current Fords, and super dumb not to include in the 2015 Edge. They should also offer it to existing owners, but that's just a dream.
-
The 2015 Mustang also has individual tire pressure readouts.
-
The TPMS in a Lexus shows individual pressure readouts of all 5 tires.
-
Just checked the Owners Manual and yes, the MKC does have the auto folder feature, unlike the Explorer that manual power folding mirrors.
-
The Explorer's mirrors do NOT auto fold. You have to press the switch for them to fold or unfold when required, so don't expect to get the auto fold feature in any case.

Like what akirby wrote above, or, if you have MyFord Touch, in the main screen > Settings>Vehicle>Door Keypad Code. -
Back Up Camera very grainy at night

The screen has to turn off & then on for the image to become clear again. -
Back Up Camera very grainy at night
omar302 replied to ELation's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Camera is ok in daytime. It is not that the Camera has been on for a long time, it is the vehicle that has. In all the above samples, the camera was on for less than a minute (mainly to get the photo sample). -
Back Up Camera very grainy at night
omar302 replied to ELation's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
An update to this same topic. Had always noticed that at night near my place, the camera display would be grainy, while at my Parents it is clear at night. Then I realized that I park in reverse at my place, meaning the Camera turns on after driving for a certain period, while at my Parents, I would park straight, so when I back up, it would be the 1st thing I do after starting. So after some testing, I found out that the rear Camera gets grainy at night after driving for some time (maybe heat?) but turning off the car (Center display off) for a few minutes (3-5 minutes) then turning the rear camera on (reverse), the display becomes clear!! Pictures speak for themselves! My 2011 MKX: Sample 1, at 9 PM: Same view at 10:43 PM (1:43h later): Sample 2, at 8:49 PM: Same view at 8:51 PM (2 minutes later) A buddy's 2013 Explorer: At 10:29 PM: Same view after less than minute later: -
Touchscreen not calibrated after update
omar302 replied to Shadrack's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
You should not need to calibrate the screen. I suggest taking it back to the dealer. But, since this is a forum with DIY advise, try the calibration menu in the diagnostic mode. To enter MyFord Touch into diagnostics mode: - Make sure there is no CD in the system - Set MFT to AM/FM - Press and hold the eject button and... - Immediately after press and hold the right arrow on the center wheel while still holding the eject button - Hold both buttons pressed for about 12 seconds - Screen goes black and MFT enters diagnostics mode The system defaults to a speaker tone test which starts immediately. You can cancel it on the screen. You should find a screen calibration entry (don't remember it exactly), after finishing, tap anywhere on the screen to exit. Edit: Found the below screenshot, don't remember were I got it from! -
Try switching to tow mode DTE calculation & then back and see if changes it. Also, the low fuel warning will come at 20 km to empty & at zero. When at zero, the gauge turns to red color. You'd still have a few kilometers to go, I think the max I went was 4-5 KM after zero, but never ran empty.

Ambient Lighting '14 Sport FWD
omar302 replied to FtrEdgeOwnr's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
The TSB content was posted in this thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13168-ambient-lighting-problem/ The fix seems to be related to version 3.6.2 only. So i'd guess this means other software versions are not affected. -
A DIY was posted in the Explorer forum which have the same turn signal stalk: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=395191

To OP, do you do a lot of remote starts? I do & noticed that the fuel used during remote starts is not calculated in the Trip Computer so the actual fuel used is always going to be more than what is registered in the Trip Computer. Actually, I wish they had a fuel economy gauge that would only calculate the actual mileage without the stops where the engine is only idling. I think it would give a better feel of the "driving" fuel economy. I previously owned a Chevy Lumina (an '05 Australian Holden) that when idling, would show fuel consumption rate in Liters/hour & while driving it switched to Liters/100km. Good idea instead of the useless 99L/100km (or 0 mpg for US) while idling.

Edge Sport brakes are the same as regular Edges. Only in some years, don't remember which, some FWD Edges had smaller front brakes.

Ambient Lighting '14 Sport FWD
omar302 replied to FtrEdgeOwnr's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
There was an update (V3.7.11) released & pulled quickly in early September. So it seems that we might get any time now. Edit: Found out that there is a TSB & your dealer should be able to fix it without the aforementioned update. Ambient Lighting '14 Sport FWD
omar302 replied to FtrEdgeOwnr's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
It is a MyFord Touch issue since the last update. The resets to the default blue (white for Lincolns). Hopefully a near future update would solve the problem.
