Our 2012 holds exactly 6qts. Just changed with 5Qts M1 5W-20 and 1Qt M1 0W-40 for the summer oil change. Brought it right up to the full mark on the dipstick.

Nlk: on my wifes 2012. in your pic there is a flat black ground wire in your post #4 first pic. follow that flat black ground wire down to the top of the head closest to the fire wall. it should be attached to a screw there for ground. Ok your other ground wire should be attactched to the top of the other head--Just below valve cover. directly across from the other.

Candurin: Did you change your bulbs due to lack of visibility or for color? We have spent alot of time so far in the wifes 2012 following the daughters basketball play... and we quickly noticed the brights are horrible. Not much more visibility then low beams... As many deer as we have close to the highways here in Oklahoma I feel she needs far better more lighting at night. Her 04 Lincoln Navi would light up the whole country side. I was just curious.

Very Sad~ As much technology as Ford put into this cock pit. I myself who is very anal about wanting to know what is going on internally. Would have really liked an extra setting on the left side of the speedo for Engine Temps. Sorry just the off-road racer coming out in me. Sorry to create another thread for no reason. Thanks akirby

Finally had a chance to drive the wifes new 2012 Edge today. I noticed there is not or I could not find any way to monitor any of the temps within the motor. Most importantly coolant temp. Am I missing this feature?

The Wifes 12 Limited came equipt with these Michelins--->http://www.tirebuyer.com/tires/michelin/latitude-tour-hp/p/tv060026619 Her edge is not AWD. These tires do outstanding in the rain as well as just wet highway. We will see in a few months, how they do in the ice and snow. Our dealer keeps these in stock, so we will probably stick with them and just replace 2 at a time. We will rotate twice a year--->Once before Winter and Once before Summer.

Stant arrived yesterday. Very nice cap. Snaps in easy and removes very easy. This will at least keep anyone from tampering with the filler neck and keep any type of debris out of the filler neck. Still wondering what the thinking was---> No Gas Cap!

I'm sorry its Redline SI-1. I'm still new to this product. And its Gumout Regane!

3oz of Redline SR-1 every other fill up in all our gas autos. 1. 04 Audi A4 2.0T quattro w/15gal fuel tank. 2. 08 F150 FX4 5.4L 3V w/30gal fuel tank. 3. 12 Ford Edge Limited 3.5L w/14-16gal fuel tank. My son's 08 had a CEL come on about 3 months ago... It would still run great, but once you came to a stop with the trans still in drive and brake applied the 5.4L had a very noticeable vibration. We had just had the plugs changed-Fuel Filter-Coil packs all changed. We ran another tank of Shell gas through it and it slowly seemed to get worse. We took it to our local scam Ford dealership they ran a scan on it and called me with a misfire code. And wanted $340 to continue to search out the problem. ROFL! A misfire could be one of 20 things. We picked up the truck and I made some phone calls. I made contact with person who is very involved in Nascar. He told me to get a 15oz bottle of Redline SR-1 and Add the whole bottle and fill up the tank again--->30 gallons. Within the 100 mile mark on this tank of fuel with the Redline added, the CEL went off. The vibration was very slight at first then slowly disappeared. That was 410 miles ago. As of Today! No CEL and the 5.4L 3V idles and runs smooth and quiet except for the normal valve train clatter. With his 30gal tank I add 6oz every other tank. The Audi and Edge I only add 3oz since their fuel tanks are 14 to 16gals. Redline SR-1 has a very strong additive----> P.E.A. 30-50%--> Which is used in Gumout Regene and Chevron Techron. I'm just sharing my personal experience not telling you to use it or try it. I took the truck back by the Ford Dealership and told them I had fixed the problem for $10.95. The service fella {Kyle} sat in the truck and was some what amazed. He asked me what I did and I told him that would cost him $340 just to begin to tell him the whole story. He just smiled and told me to have a good day. Again this is just my personal experience nothing more. I will continue to use the Redline SR-1 in small doses--It is also an upper cylinder lubricant.

Ok! Just went ahead and bought the "Ford Specialty Orange Coolant" $1.75 more then the Prestone Dex-cool. Compared the MSDS and Ingredients on the back of the gallon jugs. I found my answer.

Thanks for your replies fellas! Here is why I ask. My wife has to drive down a 1/2 mile cleatchy dirt road every day to her office. Her Navigator that we traded in, always has a lot of fine white powdery cleatchy dust within the filler deck after you opened the fuel door. Once a week I would blow it all out with compressed air. Now without a gas cap alot of that fine powder is going to find it's way down into the filler neck.... Unless the fuel door is air tight which I know it's not, this is going to be hard to avoid. Anyway. I will email the salesman to see about getting a fuel cap. Thanks again.

I have did a bit of research on this coolant and this has me really confused. Is this a Dex-Cool Clone? Or Dex-Cool in disguise? I have also read where ford-GM and others are trying to decide on just one coolant. Many have stated that Dex-Cool is this coolant. Any thoughts?

Just bought my wife a 2012 Edge Limited. Driving it home last night I stopped to top off the tank and was shocked to find out there was not a gas cap. Is this normal? If so? This is retarded... Any amount of dirt can enter the fuel tank through the filler neck in time. There was already a few small pieces of crud laying right below the flap. If I had not picked it out with my pocket knife, it would have falled down the filler neck when I pushed the fuel pump nosel down into the filler neck to fuel the car. If there is not a cap... I will create some plastic see through cover to cover the filler neck entry way.
