  1. no elevation and GPS can include elevation, but has nothing to do with it nor was made to show/include elevation as that has no bearing on determining location in a GPS.

yeah.. not the first time I heard this as, in the fine print, they tell you they charge you card automatically. But, your canceling should have stopped that. I had 3 subs, went to 2, and then in Dec called to cancel and go to 1. BUT, they offered me such a killer deal to keep 2, literally half the price, I kept 2 as I want to keep getting Howard Stern through the year. I told them I did not care if I kept it and was fine with canceling, but they offered to me the 1/2 price AND free internet on 1 account (which use to be free anyway). So, they held the wolves back for 1 more year for me.
  3. not sure how to respond actually.. they are advertised as 6x8 so I never thought about it. Now, I Google and I find listings at both 6x8 and 5x7 and I even find one site that said, "6"x8" / 5"x7" 2-Way...." so officially speaking, I think they are listed as 6x8 and so not sure where the 5x7 comes in to be honest. All I do know is that they fit my Edge and sound great
  4. are you blocking the sensor on the dash? are you in Canada and have DRL or did you buy it used and it has the DRLs turned on and you didn't know?
  5. power lift gate is the bomb SO glad I paid extra for it. I suppose you "could" install a strap (assuming there is not one on the 2010 - which I highly doubt). BUT I would be worried about that getting caught when you use the auto close feature but even more of an issue, you would logically attach it to the inside of the gate, and that is just cheap plastic panel that pops off with hand pressure to access the inside of the gate if needed. Point is, it will not take much pressure or pulling to dislodge it so a handle would be hard to install and have it work as those gate, under a little pressure from the hydraulic piston, takes a bit of effort to pull down and a handle attached to that weak and easy to remove panel could get ugly.
  6. I would not consider those fender flares.. they follow the same body line and do not protrude or flare out for more coverage, it is just a plastic fender oh. but I do kind of like them though. very old picture though.
  7. use the search function, there is a long thread here about it and many of us have and use the
  8. just an FYI, I once talked to a buddy who explained a company he worked with that can come out and fix damage to aluminum wheels.. not sure how, very secretive process apparently, assuming you have aluminum and not the "chrome clad" type caps. So, might look into that. Or, look into seeing if the "chrome clad" caps - if that is what you have and what is damage - can be replaced. Might be cheaper route. If neither, check eBay for wheels. You can salvage the TPMS sensor and reuse it . Yes, you will need the tool, can buy them cheap off eBay.
  9. might be a little late now, but there is a massive thread here - tinted tails - with a giy that did/does a great tinted tails tint job and does it via the more legit paint method.. awesome results
  10. might try Sam at http://www.avelectronic.com/, I know they have stuff for 2009, but not listed, so might have a 2010 option.. maybe
  11. a similar type mod has been possible foe the Toyota FJC.. but in reverse. Turn a FWD into an AWD. The harness was right behind the dash behind an empty plug cover and the ability was built into all FJC's. So, for people that wanted the AWD setup, you paid like what, $650 to get it when all it was was the addition of a $50 switch so many people, like my brother, bought the switch and self installed and viola. Point is, I have heard of making these types of mods as the ability exists, but not sure how/if it can be done on the Edge IF it were as simple as a fuse, you do do the type of mod I did for the internal light switch (posted here some place) and make the fuse attached to a toggle switch on the dash so as to activate/deactivate the fuse from the dash - instant on/off. IF that fuse would even work that way. interesting possibility here.
  12. nice.. good upgrade, no I guess you have a newer module as mine does not "It will also turn the reverse camera on while going down the road by pressing & holding the Media button for 2 seconds minimum." - wish it did, that would be cool. I also never wired up the wires to run a media device like DVD player as it never was a desire for me. EDIT: yes, it seems there is a newer module Sam tells me (owner of the company that sells the module) and the features listed above by k-tech82 were on the 2009 Edge with a newer module.
  13. good product, good price. I have these and love them. for me, they are plenty thick, plenty strong, plenty tall lip as all I ever have to keep controlled is pesky beach sand
  14. rode 60 miles 70 degrees with short sleeved jersey

  15. agreed, but IIRC pull down more from front (facing windshield) to back (to trunk) - I do recall it was kind of tricky first time
  16. did you ask the eBay sellers? I would think they would know as they sell them. did you see the switch blade keys some of us have, or just the basic replacement key? his says only 2007-09 but he might have/know something else
  17. no such thing on 2007-2009 that I know of can't comment on 2010, but never heard of it here
  18. you know what I almost did.... I almost made a series of like 4-5 white images and that way, the top most gallery images would be.... empty :hyper: as the white images wold blend into the white BG and viola... no more gallery
  19. don't have links handy, but use the search feature and you will find some topics/pictures as it has been talked about here before
  20. the orange is just to much for me.. it is like POW. very distracting, to much of a contrast and hard visually to focus on what matters on the page. needs to be more subtle or need to go away from a drastic white BG that makes the orange pop so much. turn off that top gallery. we do not get enough gallery editions, so we will all be looking at that for the next 3 months ditch the right side Social Media section, or move it to the bottom and move up the recent topics section
  21. you can go through the hatch to access the prongs - remove the plastic paneling on the inside of the hatch - to access and see the prongs. BUT prepare to have small hands to get access as it is tough. I know as I took it all apart when I wired up my camera. IF you could get back there, it might be nice to try to push those out from the inside to unstick the adhesive. As well, IIRC, those prongs have a little divot in them so they are more than just guides. but I only vaguely recall that as I looked as I had hoped there would be aftermarket emblems made for the Edge, but there never were so I kind if forgot. removing the paneling is not hard, so it might be worth a first glance to see if you can stick something (a long dowl or wooden spoon) up into that area to push up on the prongs to get a gap started from the outside. you might try a heat gun to loosen the adhesive.
  22. well.. I guess it is just time to get one of these then there is a thread on here about them, they work awesome
  23. have not seen the issue listed here.. but you will likely find the answer here
