  1. I do not think you have to PM anyone. Many guys just post their stuff just as you did and we all buy it... I have seen HID vendors, rubber protective bumper cover vendors (there is one you should consider as the last guy stopped doing them and many still want them), tinted tail sellers, etc.... all just posted up what they had and started selling. simple. just treat everyone fair and honest and you should have no real issues from what I have seen and the + word will spread on its own.
  2. you make it, I will buy it. post up as soon as you have them for white sand tri coat and I will order here is my home made rubber version I posted in your other thread, which I did the day after I bought the car 6 months ago, but which is more applicable here. clearly, yours is more legit
  3. These would be sick and I would buy for sure, as I expect many would... make them.. please start with White Sand Tri Coat - the same your buddy has I have and we each only need 1 a piece - a little research showed me the idea I had was not so unique and can be done way better (flush and color matched) and is being done by some already.. just not for Ford Edge it seems make it happen! UPDATE: best you read this thread before you act
  4. how interesting... I made one of these for myself the day after I bought my Edge knowing I would NEVER use a key. I will post up photo. never thought about a market for them, until now you say that, BUT if you make them in White Sand Tri Coat... I would buy one
  5. google is your friend - and on sale get them while you can
  6. ahh... on my Limited I have the auto lift gate option and the subwoofer (with audiophile) so do not have these and never knew they existed. BUT, I have a great solution for you to make them cool and usable. Go to a motorcycle shop (or maybe even a car shop) and buy yourself some of those cool black elastic mini nets used to hold cargo down. Motorcycle would be best as it is smaller and smaller weave for this application. then, you cut that to appropriate size you want and drill little holes in the molded plastic panel that line up with the elastic, slide the elastic into it and tie a knot in it and put the panels back on. in the end, you would have a cool black elastic net that is stretchy and allows for taller and bigger objects to fit in those cubbies and the black net would look factory as the netting terminate in holes in the panel that are tied off behind the panel so you only see clean holes with elastic running into them. piece of cake project. feel me? like this.. would be great in black and strung tighter, but you get the point
  7. nice! way better than the stock antenna and not interfering with items on the rack is just a side bonus
  8. How do you figure I got it at no cost? I paid for the car didn't I? So I paid for the DVD. So I can't sell it? So, by your logic it seems, everyone here trying to sell parts of their cars they have replaced or upgraded: wheels, tires, rims, subwoofers, enclosure, speakers, floor mats, stock head units, springs, .. should not sell them to recoup upgrade costs and or allow the next person to also win by getting an item they might want cheaper than buying it full price retail? I don't get it , but thanks for chiming into my thread? <_<
  9. pictures of this in engine bay and the mount at the tire PLEASE
  10. huh... what are "rear side pockets back in the cargo area"?
  11. lucky you.. mine just expired this week.. so, I got a bit more than the claimed 6 months so not complaining. Was able to add it to my account for 6.99 per month. so it seems they were on top of mine
  12. tight!! big fan of murdered out rides. next, do your brake calipers.. I just did it here and it is awesome Also, how about a photo of your oval sticker overlays. I am curious to see those on an Edge as I have seen the site before and I am a little leery of how they look/form fit? And maybe a photo of this "Edge" in flat black. I have heard so so things about the Weapon-R and I actually called them and they kind of seemed.. well, when I asked about why they do not do a cold air box for their CAI and they said "well, that is just how it is". So, curious what you think? anyway... more/better/close up photos would be cool here
  13. pretty sure that was my post and the eBay seller - who still sells them - is "screenpatronus" look for "Screen Protector Ford Expeditions Explorer Edge Mustang" Thing still works pretty awesome. BUT they are not as finger print proof as claimed and never really think they can be. it is pretty good, but not 100% on that front. I would still buy it again though
  14. I wonder just how long it takes to build a base level model of one of these? 2 hours, 5 hours, 10 hours? anyone have any idea from start to rolling out the door?
  15. this can also be done with with the outside keypad if you have that. this way, the key fob or outside keypad could also trigger mirrors & seat 1 or 2 to move into position for you. that being said, still wish we could convert that switch to be lit nevertheless
  16. If anyone is interested.... I have my newly used Ford, Lincoln, Mercury version/Map Release 6P DVD - comes in 2008 model years. Used but in perfect working condition! Navigation DVD works in only those 2007 and 2008 Ford and Lincoln Mercury vehicles with factory-installed Pioneer navigation systems, but 6p came in the newest 2008 vehicles like mine. I have the DVD and jewel case and the sleeve inserts - exactly how I got it. Oh, I will also provide the SYNC Navigation System manual - 160 pages - if you like as well (would assume you have this already, but it is the 2nd printing edition). Here is what you get with 6p: This DVD map update contains coverage across the continental United States and Canada as well as Alaska and Hawaii. It contains over 6.06 million miles of road and features more than 1.57 million updated points-of-interest including over: 449,700 restaurants 68,700 hotels 103,800 banks 108,000 ATMs 90,800 gas stations 245,600 auto service & maintenance locations 14,900 tourist attraction If you have 4p and want to cheaply upgrade and save a bundle of cash over retail, let me know as I am letting mine go and it works perfect. Send me a PM and we can talk about price/ship with PayPal.
  17. not real shocking. about par for course. it seems often that for vendors, they worry only about their piece of the puzzle, not anything else. in your case, the rest of your car does not matter, just what they are doing. I had to have the dealer repaint my sill as in the process of fixing item A, the broke item B.. so it was on their tab. funny thing is, in hindsight, you could have bought a new better drop in sub for like $70.. a fraction of the cost/time/effort so far. but, you would have never known that nor should have to, just that that piece is not that pricey. I am always leery of people working on my car... even the dealer. there is a good chance you will get it back with something you did not have before. always a risk
  18. it is a bit more complicated than that (actual procedure to follow)... but in a nutshell.. yes read post #9
  19. personally.. I am happy with how I did and I how it turned out now months later. Digital is only way to go, 35w works great for me, 5000k provides that perfect look & light output I liked, install is easy, price is good from Retroslutions.. hard to improve upon that. The only 'issue' is the odd jagged cutoff due to the Ford reflectors. NOT an issue enough I would undo it or not want it, put the only thing keeping it from being 'perfect' to me. I would do it again in a heart beat.
  20. thanks. I really think with these open Premium Painted rims they really work well. The ones I have seen on the chrome clads, not so much as they cover the calipers much more. thanks! this one was cheap, yet looks like more than it is and not yet cheezy
  21. all of that and they did not even test cable or Aux jack before swapping radios and Sirius units? that is bass akwards. I am with Akriby.
  22. Crutchfield is saying that to do a new after-market sub you would really have to do a new amp. they claim you need at least 100 watts to an after market sub to "keep from damaging them".. anyone know how many watts our 190 watt Audiophile amp sends to the current stock sub? is that 190 watts peak power? they are talking about 4 ohm 2 voice coil is stock but in the end, really recommended not even fussing with it unless you also changed the amp at the same time as the subs are so reliant on the amp, versus speakers, the differenced noticed in swapping out would be negligible given what we are working with. any thoughts to the contrary, or same. any real world sub swaps to report keeping the factory amp and Audiophile system that really made a noticable difference like speakers do? or are they right.. just not worth messing with.
  23. got your vin? put it here: click here also useful: decoding digits enjoy
  24. thinking of changing mine out since I did the Infinity's a bit back... starting to feel a little more bass might be nice. FYI, Crutchfiled now shows a lot of options it seems for subs. What is the max size (8,10,12 incher) could drop right in back there in the stock enclosure with no modification? I know stock is 8", but how deep is stock depth and could you go bigger in the stock factory enclosure with say a 10" shallow? And what specs (watts, best frequency range) would be run fine with the stock amp and Audophile system?
