I was raised in Iowa.. in the winters, chipmunks and squirrels and such would crawl for warmth into engine bay.. and some never made it back out... which you only found out later anyway.. just how 'horrible' is 'horrible'? are we talking rotten eggs? like a catalytic converter issue?

I have been all over the Ford accessory part web stores and never seen such a thing. plus IF it did exist, your key FOB would not have a button to open so IF such a thing did exist, expect to carry yet another FOB... but I suspect your only option is the legit Ford installed option you passed on.

just go test drive a new Edge on his day off and err.... 'confiscate' a pair

they 'do' nothing... but keep you from seeing the inset screw in there. I would just get them next time at dealer.... but I would not make the effort to go get them

For me... I notice these 2 fixes right off 1. It now correctly defaults back to USB and not Line In. As I reported, and many others have at SMR, it use to always default back to Line In on car restart, now it correctly defaults back to USB upon restart! this was one of my top complaints as I had to reset to USB every single time even if I got out for 30 seconds, 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute... it was a PITA so happy that is fixed. 2. I now correctly have the "2 of 20" song counter at the top of the display next to the song play time. It only use to show upon car restart when I selected music, and then never after unless I reselected some music. Now, I correctly get the song counter all the time.

This update is now available online to freely download and install all by yourself! I did it in about 12 minutes and it went flawless. go to www.syncmyride.com, become a member and you will get access to the new download just released on 10/10/08. directions are provided and it works perfect. now... just need to wait to get the Sync 2.0 with the 911 and Heath Reports in a month or so.

s DirectJG said.. this issue has been solved. it requires some modification, but you can get them lit up if you want. search here, there is a complete thread on it already showing and telling how to solve it.

I read dealers may not take delivery of the 2.0 upgrade - with the 2 new features - until Dec 1.

while out of country, I got this email I just found from Steeda "New news. Just got done with the cold air and customing tuning on our edge, We are producing 34 hp with this combination. Nice increase. So this package is one step closer. The 13mile edge just got off the dyno about a hour ago. We are excited, it is 93 degrees out also, which is a nice increase with this heat in florida. WE are getting closer to production." and "Usaully with a cold air and tuner, you will always see a increase in gas milage. I would guess about 1.8-3.2 mpg increase, basing it on the fusion CAI. But not sure yet, being performance orientated, We still are trying to untap the power and so far we are impressed."

I thought the 'white chocolate' and 'white sand tri coat' were totally different? I did not think the color was the same nor the 3 stage paint job for white sand tri coat?

use the search feature to confirm, as it has been a while since this topic has come up.. but IIRC there was a Ford option but it required you to drill into the car to attach it and the few people that saw it found it flimsy and expensive. I even seem to recall it on eBay for a short time... that being said, I have not seen anyone even mention one for many, many months (if at all).

cool.. but never heard of "Labrador black".. when you say "white sand" you are talking the 2008 "White Sand Tri Coat" color, no?

you make a decent point about mountains vs sea level. unless maybe that air flow diff is not as dramatic there as changing out the whole system and that change out is so dramatic, it requires an adjustment. this would be the same with just changing an air filter, that is not enough of a flow change to warrant a tune versus the entire intake system... but I see your point. one of those areas I am just not versed in enough to say. Here is Steeda's response to your comment: a stock computer compensates for about 1/4 of the air flow of what an aftermarket cold air system can flow. not only the elemenet but the cold air intake is almost double in size.

hells no.. I would have fixed/addressed it day one if it did. nobody who does have this has said if they have simply grabbed the seat and shook it and what happens if they do? that would tell you a lot about where the issue is.

oh yeah.. can be painted for sure. there are even a few guys around here who have had their front and rear bumper molding painted to match & posted photos. looks nice.

if you search the topic, you will find many options in that more pricey ($500-1000) higher quality range with install details people have done. here is just 1 example.

if you search here, you can learn more as there are topics on it.. but it will all depend on if you have the BAMR vista roof or not. if you have that, forget 'factory' rails. you do not mention if you do or not?
