unless in Canada - where DRLs are turned on by law - they are off from the factory in USA. And, you have to go to the dealer to have turned on as they are set via a computer & can;t be done by owner. At least, that is the way it was for 2007-2009, so I assume same for '10.
Search for DRLs here and you can read more on the topic.
I'd say - given no one will see that - all is fine. but, if you cared, why didn't you drill a small hole and just get a firewall grommet? that would have been as pro as you could do.
"now have a source"?
sorry to tell you... this is pretty well known old news. There are Navteq threads all over here and they have been selling them to the public since the beginning. not sure how you missed that? either way, at their prices, I would never buy from them.
bummer... also bummer for the deer. actually, I have seen deer do much worse damage in the midwest. at lest she was able to keep control.
I had a recent run in with a coyote. did the repair myself in the end with parts ordered from the dealer, but not nearly as bad as yours - except for the animal
cant you call the dealer you bought from and tell them too get you the parts that were suppose to come with the car? you did pay for them after all. I don't understand. you have Ford dealers there, but they cannot get Ford parts that come with the car?
sorry for the confusion... I do not have them... so wrongly assumed it was that way - never guessed they would miss installing that part. it
So, they want like $60 online for those 2 parts! wow - what a rip. looks like a call to the dealer for me.

2" - wow. BUT, how do you recall the original level 1 year and 35k miles ago? as far as you know, it never was at the factory level line, no? you actually looked when you first bought your car and recall the level?
OR, just read up on the LED light threads here, there are several, and get replacement bulbs and swap out your interior bulbs. easy to do and cheap. many of us have swapped out for nice bight white, you could do red, green, blue, whatever
you need to buy that tool off ebay. they are pretty inexpensive. as you have found the directions already, it is just the tool you need. I bought mine off eBay.
I like, clean. I could see the spring lowering kit.
Is that the Ford or WT deflector?
Too bad you did not bypass the front plate - yeah, yeah, I bet it is a 2 plate state - but who cares
agree with akirby - wouldn't worry about it much. normally, you put some oil around the lip to make a seal and a little more than hand tight and you should be good.
I used that one also, good to print out the details just to have for your records.
but that guy that use to track them at Blue Oval could follow them from production through delivery with weekly updates. I think it just got overwhelming for him as there were so many requests. He tracked mine, it was soon after that he stopped doing it.
have you looked at the firewall yet to see what you might be able to use that is preexisting? if not, making a hole in the firewall is no biggie really. a pain to get to in newer cars since they are so compact and every space is used in engine bay. might have to come up from underneath.
actually... it will stay on. There are some threads on this that were sparked by people going to the drive in. I made a little flip switch mod to shut all the lights down
