  1. Damn dude... have you not covered all of this already... 7 topics total including this one! And 8 if you count the one where you just covered it in the last 24 hrs in Hurtman's topic http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=4065 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=4073 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=4013 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=4020 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=3987 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=4200 and http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=4177 I have no allegiance to RS but man... they made this icon just for you :beatdeadhorse:
  2. IF, and that is a big IF, I ever did a decal.. that "tinted" is about as good as I have seen. They do not have an "Edge" specific section, but looks like you can put in custom size. it seems the least tacky style. that makes me curious if we could just tint - with window tint - that oval to mute it a bit. hmmmm but I wonder if it is just to curved for tint and a heat gun.
  3. strange, I tried that - same as the one in post #23 - and like 3 other search methods and no dice... just tried it again and viola - I got a hit.. thanks do you recall shipping costs?
  4. thanks. I have tried to find stuff there before, but their site is (1) cryptic and (2) their search rarely gets hits try to search derivations of "Door Sill Plates" or part numbers and you get 0 results. try to use that crummy drill down expanding tree navigation... good luck. hard too even determine what "category" these go in. try front door > interior trim > door trim panel... 0 heck, maybe they just removed them, or I am being a tard, but even if so, they make it hard to find stuff and many of the ford auto places use that same navi structure.
  5. my brother lives there - Broomfield. I love CO, next best state to CA. we had a home in Breck growing up so we could skit the summit, love the mountains - if I moved, it would be to CO. I was there 2 times this year alone doing run races: Pikes Peak and Mt. Evans. Spent a lot of time up off peak to peak highway - up Bouldr canyon - riding and trail running and shooting in the open park system. I know Boulder like the back of my hand. Spent lots of time out there.
  6. ahh.. good info. I will ask my guy and see what he says. post up actual # when you locate it. thanks!
  7. I have done similar. I also put pin switch system with LEDs in both the center console and the glove box - both with butt connectors for quick release if needed. nice added feature. and heck, what's to say about HID other than, there is no other way PS - like that snow! I ran with a t-shirt tonight on the beach at low tide and sunset
  8. what exact part # did you give dealer - 8T4Z-78132A08-AB for Black Interior? I was thinking of going to them only because I have a good connection and can get a better deal I think then what I have seen. just want to confirm this # is a ford #.
  9. no trick. your on the right path. a small flat head screw driver, push tab and pull that side out and down and they should easily come out. pulled mine half a dozen times when I was doing the first LED puddle lamp conversion. BUT, they are sealed units, so you cannot open them and clean them. if you search here and read, several of us have opened them up and changed the bulbs, but that requires an exacto knife or dremel tool to separate the lens from the lamp body as it is a sealed unit. Condensation seems possible, dirty? that seems odd
  10. FYI - if you search here for HID or retro solutions, you can find (1) install photos (2) engine bay photos - I think some even in my gallery for example (3) night shots
  11. do you have some sort of chrome paint? or what do you plan to do for silver?
  12. interesting.. but I would think it would not do this since it is only seen when the door is open, "ambient" mood lighting is not really a factor then. but this is total speculation since I have neither a 2010 nor these plates (yet ) either way, cool to see factory installed LED is now an option in some areas.
  13. ahh... sorry, I have not taken that piece off BUT, search here on trim replacement topics and you will find some links to sites that sells wood and carbon trim pieces. one of those sites might have the schematics or one of those threads might answer if that piece pops up. I would assume it is pressure fit, but not sure.
  14. your cover might be 2" and not the needed 1.25" - you did not say if it is to big or to small? but that photo looks like 2". if they claim it fits most applications, you should have gotten a reducer adaptor, no?
  15. how do you mean? you mean the dimmer switch on the dash to adjust the brightness - will it adjust these as well? guess you would only know if you opened the door and rolled the dimmer. but then you say "light color"??
  16. it seems pretty simple mod. pretty cool, going to ask for them for Xmas from someone who likes me enough to want to buy me a gift and for sure, before I install them, I am going to find out what the deal is with the bulb. I will get white, but likely want to try a nice blue bulb as well just to see.. and LED bulbs are cheap.
  17. not sure what you mean "door switch plate"? talking about the handle, or trim around handle, trim around window buttons, not sure what piece your suggestion? many of these door trim pieces actually easily pop out with easy pressure and do not have to take off the door panel as there are just clips/tabs... but maybe if you were clearer and exactly which trim pieces?
  18. did anyone who owns them look and see what the bulb configuration is and how accessible it is? maybe change it to a different color LED on our own? order white, then get some blue LED bulbs for example.
  19. thanks guys... as for dealer install.. yeah right, bet I can do as good if not better job then them however, I have a dealer connection, so 'might' be able to get them cheaper via the dealer. oh.. and for the people thinking you cannot use your old ones again because of those tabs, silicon will hold them in place and make a seal and still be removable if you want to go back for some reason.
  20. those are awesome... I like please provide the details where you got them and/or part #'s please - is this an actual Ford item?
  21. for 1 time of year - ski season - the money would be best spent just getting a Curt hitch and a rear vertical skit rack like Goldy said. I have seen some that swing out so you can still use the lift gate.
  22. what? wow, it is not rocket science for them to do this. pretty sure your buddy will confirm what I said. lots of people here have expressed interest in this, but story is always the same... it is a dealer thing
