  1. not sure how I missed the continuation of this and that How To link.. I will have to give it a try sounds possibly exciting
  2. if you search on that topic, you can turn up threads with picts and recommendations as it has been a popular topic in the past. I own the Ford ones in my Edge, and had Weathertech on my last car and did love them, and think the Ford ones are great. I live in CA so only really worry about sand and and a little rain now and there.
  3. yep, try the search, there are several good threads on cutting the sealed puddle lamps open and swapping them to LED bulbs. it can be done.
  4. thanks. good choice. curious to see them mounted as I am not a fan of them, but that looks like a possible working good combo truck? truck? come on man.. it is a "CUV" not a "truck" :happy feet:
  5. yes sir In my FJ40 I have an air horn system and also the ability to air up tires and run basic air tools... one of the best additions relay, wiring, air horns could have been put into action by now and would meet the needs of the OP. pretty much everyone is on the same page. put in some air horns and video it and post up here
  6. yeah, post up exactly which ones you got that fit: which Ford model did you use, and those are flat black with what color text? chrome?
  7. nice... if you really want it fully murdered out, the logo emblems gotta go.. maybe tint those as well
  8. at the risk of sounding rude, everything you seek is in this thread. many times over links to buy from, photos of bulbs, bulb sizes, install stories, etc etc just search or read through
  9. this was not standard, must have been added by dealer. give them a call and if they lost, a good tire place CAN, sadly but true, remove them
  10. my only problem has been the fact that they raised rates, took away the FREE internet listening with your account and made that a pay service as well, and added that nice "US music royalty fee" I am going from 3 subs to 1 in jan 2010
  11. I second what securinu already said.. add another horn set, get ready to wire and add relay to do it right, not piggy back your existing wiring harness but more interesting is that there is no guarentee "installing another set on the left side, that will for sure double the loudness" - on the contrary, this could have adverse effects unless you do your due diligence. unless you use a set that works with the tone/notes of your current horn, you could end up getting something taht when fired togther, sounds like a disaster. this is exactly why there are generally 2 horns of 2 different notes. if fired alone, they are weak, but when fired together, they work in tandem to create a range that works. you go arbitrarily adding a second set of horns and ughhh it could be a mess you are a prime candidate for air horns, you want LOUD, and if your going to say you want the path of least resistance, but then talk about adding a second set of horns, and then about sourcing out relays and wire harness, etc... just get a darn air horn kit and get on down the road with it - you could have had air horns in by now and disconnected the stock horns and been blasting to your hearts desire
  12. does not mean in any way it will not work, it just means (1) not "officially" tested and (2) might work but some functions - like text message reading - will not be available. MANY phones not on the list work fully or in part.
  13. OMG don't let Akriby read this as he will have a fit.. doing something and interacting with your navi head unit while actually driving OMG - the insanity!!!
  14. it is not an "an update to keep the version current" it was release just to give you the 2 new functions you never had before: 911 and Heath Reports... you do not even 'need' this and it did not improve anything, but added those 2 features.
  15. watch the little tiny set screw that attaches the key blade to the remote as mine recently started to work out and I almost lost it.. lock tight solved it
  16. search around on adding LED lights, several of us have added them under the little pocket, in the center console, in the glove box, in the cup holders... these threads can help "illuminate" how and where with picts
  17. correct me if I am wrong, but there are different resistor options that are useful.. what they sell have resistors, but according to them, that is to address polarity issues in case you install them wrong to polarity. that is nice, but as I see it.. no much of a big deal as youo just flip them around and viola. resistor issues I see that are more valuable are those that smooth out load/curent variations - something that could fry a bulb - and they do not mention that and I think that is the more key issue to address for resistor son LED bulbs lastly, I am not sure these 2 are the same or separate types of resistors.
  18. very nice... the 1 big envy for me is the OEM navi - I like that silver is always good color
  19. see above while your at it, do the cargo area bulb of course, also a festoon, x1, also 39mm - I did one that had 9 LEDs on it in square to really fill that bulb space and throw light
  20. solid idea.. herculiner is pretty bomber and looks good. a pict would be nice. and you can diff colors of the stuff
  21. sorry, only have charcoal part #s - but I wonder of both colors use the same colored covers?
  22. LOL good one did you write that with marker on the stick
  23. got mine, look and work perfect. got to thank the OP for bringing this up. I got mine for free as they should have come with it. I will get better pictures than we have in the next day or so. for a charcoal car, the ford parts # on my invoice are 7a1z7863386ca 7a1z7863386ba
