  1. My 07 SEL+ had 320 miles on it. 35,000 miles later and zero problems. I was a little concerned at the time, wondering where the car had been, But it turned out fine.
  2. Here in St. Louis 99% of the gas stations are self-serv. I saw a report on the news last night that it's hard to get alot of the stations to help you even if you're handicapped.
  3. X Chevy guy here. 07 SEL+ with 35,000 miles and zero problems.
  4. 07 SEL+ FWD with 37,000 miles Zero problems I'm 61 yr old and this is the best car I've ever owned.
  5. You can't go any speed and dupicate it. It has to do with the speed of the car and the speed of the camera lens.
  6. I've had the same problem twice with 2 different cars. My last one was an 01 Chevy Blazer. It thought I was trying to steal it. Turns out the problem was a secuity sensor. Then just the other day my 07 Edge would do the same thing. Turns out I accidentally hit the remote start button while the doors were open. After locking the car and unlocking it all was ok.
  7. Hi Hyun A noisey fuel pump is NOT normal. Keep complaining until they fix it. Mine is a 2007 and not a sound from the pump. Have the dealer start another Edge or two on the lot and compare the sounds.

    Brakes

Does the computer also override the transmission being put in neutral? One woman who testified in Congress said putting the car in neutral did no good. Pretty scarey if that's true.
  9. The imperfections on my wheels were so slight that the"fix" to me was better than getting a new set, which may have turned out to be worse in the long run. I still have warranty time to turn them in if they get worse. I appreciate tour response.
  10. I have a 2007 with these wheels. W hen mine started to corode on the edges I thought this might be an ongoing problem. So I decided to try to touch them up with crome paint from a can. They turned out ok. You can't tell anything has been done unless you look real close. The rest of the cladding is still great looking. I know this is unacceptable to some owners but I didn't want the hassle of constantly taking them back.
  11. This happened to me when I bought a new 2001 Chevy Blazer. The LT I got was cheaper and had more on it than the LS sitting next to it. When I asked the salesman how could this be, he threw his hands up and said "beats me".
  12. has not set their status

  13. Got mine installed at the Dealer. If they do muck it up they will fix it. I have found out that if you do it yourself, or have an aftermarket store do it, the first time you have electrical problems the Dealer will say you caused them. Of course this was GM, so maybe Ford is different but who knows.

    Hello!

We could've used a few more pics!! Just kidding. Welcome to the family.
  15. I've found that ICE looks great and the finish lasts longer. It is pricey. I tried it on the painted surfaces and while it shines ok, it is hard to apply because it is clear. Tire shine will turn the black plastic "white" after a while.
  16. The best I've found is a liquid called "ICE". Check it out.
  17. I have a similar problem on my 07. 20,000 miles and I"m just starting to hear a VERY slight thumping from one of my tires. It's so slight I can't tell exactly which tire is causing it or if it is a tire. Guess I'll have to wait till it gets worse. Has anyone had a similar noise?
  18. I'm not real sure but I would think the other guy's LIABILITY ins would kick in instead of collision ins. In Missouri the minimun is 50k if I'm not mistaken. Collision ins exists to cover YOUR car and alot of people don't carry it.
  19. The only negative about the remote start from Ford is it will not activate the heated seats. Must have been a safety issue or something.
  20. Thanks guys. I suspected all they did was clean the brakes. This was not the dealer she bought the car from, just one that was the closest to her home. I told her next time take her fiance' with her to another dealer.
  21. Hey! Thanks BBF for the help. I did read the OM when the car was new but forgot that feature. Now I feel like a dummie. While I have your ear let me get your input on something I've been wondering about. Last month my stepdaughter took her 2 year old Chevy Cobalt(25,000 miles) to the dealer because of "squeaky" brakes. They told her it was caused by dirty brake fluid and changed it at her cost of $115(not covered under waranty). I told her I'd never heard of dirty fluid causing squeeky brakes. I'm wondering if this could be true or were they giving her a song and dance? She said the brakes no longer sqeak.
  22. Sorry, I put this in the wrong topic section. Guess I really am getting old!!
  23. 2007 SEL+ This is the first thing that has gone wrong with the car. Going to the dealer soon. I have the cd-6 audiofile. When I hit the "seek" button to change tracts, the cd will go from tract 1 to anywhere. Instead of going to tract 2 it will go to tract 3 or 4 or 9. Hit the button again and it will go wildy to any tract. It's not a bad CD because it does it on all 6 CD's. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
  24. I also have had 5 bags in mine. As long as they are cart bags and not staff bags you'll be ok. P.S. I didn't think I needed the bells and whistles either(heated power seats, auto climate control, leather, etc) but I love them now.
