    Mud Guards

Husky offers a custom molded set that looks comparable, but not identical to the Chinese Ebay seller's item. Good luck!
  3. mwaters: Because you reside in Pittsburgh, it seems peculiar that within your usually brief comments you always include a hyperlink to a Milwaukee-area dealership.
  4. After speaking with several Ford ESP reps in Dearborn, I've learned that Ford has changed their position on ESP coverage for dealer-installed genuine Ford-Lincoln accessories. If an otherwise-covered item needing repair was not installed at the factory, then Ford ESP will not cover it. I made clear to the ESP reps that the hypothetical Remote Start was Ford-branded and materially identical to the factory-installed unit, but was installed by a trained dealership technician. The reps said regardless of the accessory being Ford-branded or not, anything not installed at the factory is considered a modification with an aftermarket/non-factory-installed product. So, if anything is to be added by the dealer, prior to new vehicle purchase or after the original purchase date, make sure you know what the warranty period will be for the item, whether Ford-branded or not. Ford ESP will not extend coverage to non-factory items. I regret relying on what is now an out-of-date ESP reference. My original comment on this topic was wrong. ESP rep said First Day Rental coverage provides reimbursement for a rental when the ESP-covered vehicle is in for an 8-hour or less duration repair. ESP rep said the 10-day maximum rental reimbursement limitation applies in the case of long-term repair actions, however, the ESP rep said the dealership should work with the customer on providing a replacement vehicle in excess of a 10-day duration repair. Good luck!
  5. Regarding the add-on Remote Start unit: Dealer-installed genuine Ford-Lincoln accessories are covered under Ford ESP. If you are comparing Ford ESP to GEICO MBI, make sure you understand GEICO's process differences in addition to any cost differences. I buy zero-deductible Ford ESP because of its simplicity and universality-- I drive to any Ford-Lincoln dealer and they fix my vehicle for no charge. Every Ford-Lincoln dealer sells ESP and they know its claims process inside and out. The same cannot be said for GEICO MBI and their universe of licensed repair facilities which GEICO says I should prefer after paying their $250 deductible. Good luck!
  6. AZX Plan rule on additions to vehicle purchase price: The dealership may charge any price negotiated (at or above dealer cost) between the dealer and the customer for undercoating, dealer installed options, extended service contracts and other items or services that add value to the vehicle, provided such items are priced separately and listed individually on the retail buyer's order and the AZXD-Plan Pricing Agreement. As long as the dealer discloses the cause for the additional charge, in this case, transportation from the holding dealership to your local dealership, then the price increase is allowable under AZX Plan rules. As others have mentioned, the alternative course is to drive to the holding dealer and purchase the vehicle there, as long as incentives available at the more distant dealer location are acceptable to you, if they are not identical to your local dealer. If you must travel outside your home state to buy, be aware of sales tax collection policies and title processing implications between your home state and the selling dealership's state. I traveled two hours away from home to buy my MKX in my home state. The availability of Incentives and my MKX's installed options -- including Trailer Tow -- influenced my decision, which I do not regret. My local Ford dealer has been happy to perform the small bit of warranty service my MKX has required. If you're considering Ford ESP coverage, Anderson and Koch was nearly $1,000 cheaper than Ford ESP Headquarters' call-in quote and about $500 cheaper than the local Ford dealer's price for zero deductable, 7 year, 125k miles, 1st day/upgraded rental. Good luck!
  7. If you are looking for one, this is an expensive solution and one review. Good luck!
  8. Guess I'll delete those pre-V3.5.1 update files and put the hard drive space to better use. Thanks for the no-rollback clarification. Good luck!
  9. I don't use Bluetooth devices and I don't have Navigation in my MKX. That said, I have experienced no problems since self-updating to V3.5.1. I retain copies of all SYNC update files prior to installing them, but I'm unsure if my collection provides me any rollback opportunity. For my level of use, V3.5.1 has marvelously improved MyLincoln Touch. Good luck!
  10. Congratulations on your purchase of the new Edge Sport! Pandora explains use of their app with SYNC is here. Ford explains Pandora here. Other recently announced SYNC app links are described here. Good luck!
  11. Congratulations on your new Edge and thank you for your enduring loyalty to Ford products! You may enjoy downloading & reading this Ford document, which explains your Edge's systems and features. Good luck!
  12. SEL13AWD: Congratulations on your impending purchase! See document downloadable here for a thorough explanation of your new Edge's systems & features. I searched Edges in your area - 2013 SEL AWD 200A only - and found one that likely matches your MSRP, $33,855. Ford employee (A/Z) pricing would be about $28,477 after applying $2,500 of incentives. And the $750 Private Cash coupon you have cannot be used for A/Z Plan purchases. Your purchase price is a very good deal, thanks to that coupon. Good luck!
  13. My early-build 2012 MKX sat on the dealer lot for nearly a year before I bought it new, four months ago. I just freshly washed my windshield and closely inspected the exterior of the glass. Absolutely no scratches. Good luck!
  14. This one is a belated Christmas gift for Omar302: 2011 Lincoln MKX Product Portfolio.pdf
  15. You can verify the Window Sticker you received by entering your Edge's VIN here. The attached 2011 Edge Source Book details all vehicle systems & features. This is the informational resource that Ford provides to dealership sales representatives. Good luck! 2011 Ford Edge Sourcebook.pdf
  16. Congratulations on submitting your order! I'd like a pair of those chrome roof rails for my MKX. Epsion features are intriguing and are offered in US under the LoJack brand name. I'm not finding any direct Ford Motor Company - LoJack affiliation, though LoJack lists numerous independent Ford dealerships in LoJack's website search engine for where-to-buy their products. Good luck!
  17. Ford's OpenXC Platform looks like something tech-savy owners might enjoy. I'm surprised they're not calling it Hack My Ride. Good luck!
  18. If inside clearance is a concern, here's a pricey alternative design that does not extend to inside of the tire. Also, a video on the product here Good luck!
  19. Additional descriptions and photos of rear headrest removal process here. Good luck!
  20. I'm fortunate that my wife was satisfied by having sales rep rotate the non-adjustable passenger headrest 180 degrees, causing original forward-raked surface of headrest to now face rearward. Until now, I didn't realize how much money the sales rep's actions actually saved me. Good luck!
  21. Finally, some news... Ford App Developer Program, Greater Media radio stations app and USA Today app Ford Launches App Developer Program Marking New Course for CustomerDriven Innovation and Value Creation.pdf
  22. Just to bring additional clarity to this discussion, according to a Ford Media article, SYNC Services is the annual subscription function: "which expands voice-controlled features to include a cloud-based network of services. These include turn-by-turn directions, traffic reports, and business search information with available live operator assistance if needed. A SYNC Services subscription costs only $60 a year, besting the telematics services offered by the competition." I use my $59 total-cost TomTom One GPS to perform most of those services for me, but without the benefit of voice control or live operator assistance. Good luck!
  23. thirdgenlxi: Your OASIS offer is extremely generous and kind! I once ran a Google search of an Edge VIN and found a free updated Car Fax report that was posted to the Web by a used car lot that had earlier offered the Edge for sale. The report listed Dealer Warranty Service actions, as well as Car Fax's other categories of information. A simple Google search of the VIN may reveal some of a vehicle's history. Good luck!
  24. The path to follow from the Main Menu on the instrument cluster's left-side multifunction display is: Settings > Vehicle Settings > Vehicle > Easy Entry / Exit > On or Off. Good luck!
  25. Official Ford & Lincoln dealership locator & inventory search links, by state/city or province/city: USA Ford; USA Lincoln; Canada Ford & Lincoln English Francais. Good luck! ( akirby: Is this worthy of being Pinned for ongoing visibility and usage? Thanks!)
