  1. Many of us of various models & years have this problem, though not everyone. Here's the latest of several discussion threads on the topic. Good luck!
  2. One of these would be perfect for cleaning the grille of my MKX... Good luck!
  3. Rags: Welcome to the Forum! As you've observed from your research, you are not alone in the need to manually pump the final few gallons of fuel into your vehicle if you want an absolute fill-up. Patience is the only solution that I'm aware of. Good luck!
  4. Hey Oskar: Did your Husky mud guards fit your Edge like the mud guards in the photos on this post ? Good luck!
  5. Dirk: When we spoke, you described that -- despite your best efforts with two dealerships' Service departments -- there is a communications disconnect between the Service Writer and the Service Technician being able to recognize the knock in your MKX's engine, which is otherwise regularly evident to you upon idle-down after a cold start. I recall from our conversation that you were considering taking your vehicle to a third Ford dealer on the advice of the Ford Customer Relationship Center. While it's unclear from your post if you've been to that third dealership -- and especially if you have not yet done that -- I would suggest you contact the Ford Customer Relationship Center once again at (800) 392-3673. Request your vehicle's case be escalated in order to provide for a corporate-level Ford Service representative to be physically present at the third dealership when you take your vehicle in and/or for the corporate-level Ford Service representative to be physically present when you & dealership personnel cold-start your vehicle. It might be useful for you to request that someone from the Ford Lima Engine Plant also be involved, since Lima Engine is not that far away from your location. Your description of the Ford Customer Relationship Center rep's prior interest to coordinate with the third dealership in advance of your visit is a positive sign, however, the patience you have exhibited is deserving of a corporate-level Ford Service representative onsite at that third dealership to ensure the knock is successfully assessed and a proper repair is affected. Good luck!

  7. Gentlemen: Your "debate" of opinions-expressed-as-facts may only be a NY vs NJ rivalry, but your gross display of mutual disrespect is unnecessary and downright childish.
  8. KC: I don't have an Android device, but did some searching and your complaint is rampant among Android phone & tablet users with a variety of Apps, including Chrome. If you're using the SwiftKey App, many are feeling your pain. If the problem only occurs when you're on Forums and not with other Apps, you may wish to try the Tapatalk Forum App, which appears to be highly rated by users. Good luck!

  10. Is9: Like you, my spell check function was not working with Firefox 19.0.2 until I did the following... If you right click inside the text box, you should see a menu box that shows "Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Select All, Check Spelling, Languages". If you see a menu box different from this, right click one more time in the text box and you should see the described menu box. Make sure "Check Spelling" has a check mark in front of it, otherwise left click on that line to select the check mark. Then right click the text box again to reveal the same menu box and put your cursor over "Languages", which should reveal "English (United States)". If there's no circle shown to the left side of the "English (United States)" line, left click on that line to select the dictionary for use. Misspellings should now be squiggle-underlined in red. Good luck!
  11. Canyon premium leather seats, Olive Ash wood package. No regrets after buying the MKX from a distant dealer's stock in order to get factory-installed Class II trailer tow package and to qualify for $5,500 purchase incentive. Good luck!
  12. Wayne: There is no direct interchangability between the Edge & MKX grilles, because the vehicles' front end components -- fenders, headlights, hood, bumper cover, and front valance -- are unique to each model. Good luck!
  13. Limited: Sorry, I should've noticed you are North of the Border! Perhaps this Ford/Lincoln of Canada site can help you with your search. Good luck! 2013 MKX - Canada Brochure.pdf 2013 Lincoln MKX Product Portfolio - USA.pdf
  14. Midwest: Congratulations to your daughter on recent her Ford Edge purchase. Based upon your first post, questions you may offer should not prompt the admonishment that was delivered in the thread you referenced. We're all here to learn about our vehicles and to share our experiences. Good luck!
  15. On the MKX, the 18-inch polished wheels are included in the Premium Package, Equipment Group 101A. The standard wheels are painted. Good luck! 2012 Lincoln MKX Vehicle Colors-Interiors-Wheels.pdf
  16. After self-updating to SYNC V3.5.1 several months ago, I noticed the Ambient Lighting carousel of spheres was initially slow to respond to attempts to change color settings using the TOUCH Screen. A few weeks ago, I did a Hard Reset and a Master Reset and your post reminded me that I had not turned Ambient Lighting back to ON, so I just checked it. I'm now finding the carousel of colored sheres will not consistently rotate & adjust the Ambient Lighting color unless the parking lights or headlights are turned on. As before, however, the actual Ambient Lighting does not turn on inside the cabin unless the auto-headlight sensor finds dark conditions -- though I tested the system by electrical taping-over that sensor atop the dash. Attached is a TOUCH Screen photo, which shows the Ambient Lighting is turned ON, indicated by the glowing tab to the right of the power switch icon in the lower left quadrant of the TOUCH Screen. My experience with V3.5.1 is Ambient Lighting does function when turned ON, but color-setting is a little quirky using the TOUCH Screen without parking or headlights turned on. Good luck!
  17. Capt: I appreciate your observation and I am finding a different result. My vehicle's Battery Saver function shuts off the map light after 10 minutes, although opening a door reactivates the map light until the mechanical switch is cycled to OFF by pushing upward on the lens a second time -- as you describe -- or, another 10 minutes passes and the Battery Saver deactivates the map light once again. Good luck!

  20. Oskar: The 10-minute interval you describe could be the Battery Saver function shutting off the lights after the failure of the 25-second timer function to do it. Per Dingo's observation, the lights should turn off if you lock the doors with the Remote or the Keyless Entry Keypad on the door. Good luck!
  21. Attached image is text from 2013 Edge Owner's Guide... Good luck!
  22. Cajun: Attached image shows 2012 Ford Edge trailer towing capacities with & without factory-installed Class II Trailer Tow Package... Good luck!
