  1. should be a clip inside the "hole"/cavity on the right side of the bulb housing. probably need a slim flatblade screwdriver to get it to unlatch. On some vehicles there are actually philips head screws holding in the assembly, but this looks like just a tabbed arrangement. Not on an Edge but should be similar
  2. is silicone grease the right kind of grease for the swaybar? In older vehicles, there was a special grease just for this purpose at least for polyurethane bushings, and very effective, but difficult to apply. http://polybushings.com/pages/bushinglube.html Used this on our 97 Dodge Intrepid and it worked perfectly.
  3. Really? That would be a first. I know some aftermarket antennas are fragile, but OEM? I would be more concerned with the radar components in the bumper TBH.
  4. just make sure the intake is sealed from the engine bay with the hood closed. lol.
  5. as to whether gen 2 ptu failures have occurred, they have, yes. prob dont hear about those so much if covered by warranty.
  6. was the windshield ever replaced? is the battery original to the vehicle? Congrats on the new ride btw and welcome to the family!
  7. I think every update to the forum is killing attachments. Could be a spacesaving measure, but IDK.
  8. Don't know if it has changed, but here goes 2019 Edge Order Guide.pdf
  9. so much easier to just drop the engine and trans out lol. Great info, looking forward to pics-age.
  10. always something new in packaging, like those bulk oil container "bags" from Motorcraft, LOL.
  11. Either a recalibration of the unit, or a shortterm unplugging of the deficient blend door actuator may work for you.
  12. Thanks for the followup, glad all is well I would change out the PTU fluid now to get rid of breakin metals, and use a quality full synthetic replacement such as Redline Lightweight Shockproof (works in both PTU and RDU).
  13. Since abs and traction control and restraint control all work together, not sure going without abs for longer periods of time is such a good idea. If you are a DIY'r, you can try the tone ring JBWeld type fix, or get cheapie axles from Detroit Axle on eBay (per recommendations from other Edge users).
  14. First of all, all gen 2 Edge AWD vehicles have a fill AND drain plug, so maintenance is that much easier. Secondly, AWD systems from all makes have issues. Ford just piles it on by not having installed drain plugs from day 1 with regular maintenance schedule recommendations. Easily rectified. Finally, 40K is nothing these days for vehicles like the Edge. IMHO it is a class leader, even after all these years, looking at the total package and value. If you are paying that much, add on Premiumcare just before the 3/36 elapses for the longterm. The issues are known, and so are solutions. Would not let them scare me away from AWD if I really wanted it.
  15. Not Livernois, but up to E45 has been successfully run in the SHO on a DD basis. Just have to make sure that fuel components are E85 rated, which they should be for Gen 2 Edge MKX. Ford files certification documents with the EPA, probably has that info in there.
  16. Welcome to the community, glad to have ya here!
  17. Welcome to the community, and congrats on the Sport! Vroom Vroom
  18. the battery will run down, and have to be recharged every so often (6 hour intervals IIRC). That is generally why people put on a TOAD of some sort. http://www.rvnetwork.com/topic/122304-2015-ford-edge-toad-is-a-battery-charge-line-sufficient/ https://www.countrycoachforums.com/index.php?topic=17808.0 https://www.carprousa.com/car-pro-guide-to-dinghy-towing
  19. Premium fuel is not simply an increase in octane number, at least in national branded stations like Exxon, Shell, etc. Since the video refers to Shell gasoline, note that Nitro+ V-power is not available in either of the 2 lower grades of product. Not sure about Chevron, supposedly they have Techron in all grades, but whether it is the same concentration ...
  20. If there is air in the system, and is unresolved, it could wind up being in the ABS module/HCU. You would need to have it bled by a shop or at a dealer, OR possibly use Forscan for Windows Extended License to DIY. The old trick of hard stops on gravel roads may or may not work.
  21. Whiteline lateral locks CarID Product Page Lateral locks from McMasters Discussion on aftermarket lateral locks in the sway bar thread starts here: https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/23727-2016-edge-sport-g2-front-rear-sway-bars/page-9?do=findComment&comment=189069
  22. So you don't remember fondly the cars of yore? LOL.
  23. This the right page for these products? https://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/124/1262/=1e6yhfy Looks like snmjim and SpecialK have another addition for their already extensive performance mods page
