  1. Be sure to Fluid Film everything else too! Has to be reapplied at least yearly, but it does work, and is DIY. Some members are rocking the "Raptor"-style grille found on eBay.
  2. I think issues with the site may have been resolved in the latest round of updates. I would try reposting the files in the original locations to see if that is true.
  3. If you can get to the signal without removing the glass, then all is good! I posted the additional instructions in there just in case you needed them.
  4. to the bottom of the fill hole. has been standard procedure since they updated the location of the fill plug in the PTU after 5/10/2007. There is a TSB 07-16-10 addressing this changeover.
  5. Welcome, and best of luck in your search! The perfect vehicle IS out there.
  6. Pounced on the last of the 3.5's I see Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new ride! Should be easier to detail than the SuperCab!
  7. The Explorer forum is pretty awesome, as are the Fusion forums. The F150 forum, I will withhold my evaluation LOL. tamu's said it perfectly, this forum is also pretty awesome, and the moderators do a great job of keeping it that way. Welcome to the community, congrats on the new ride, I am sure it will be a lot of fun!
  8. Come on, Jim, you know with enthusiasts, patience is in short supply!!! :arrive_alive: Keep on keeping on, it's nice to have folks that keep pushing the boundaries in such a determined fashion. Respect!
  9. There is no replacement for displacement ... after a point. Most mass production cars are made to brag about 0-60 or 0-80 times unless they are flat out performance coupes/sedans/trucks. Haven't delved into electric powered vehicles yet, maybe they hold more promise?
  10. If you ain't got the boost, don't do the juice.
  11. The Gen 2 Sport peeps seem satisfied with the JLT catch can setup, so you could look to go that route. IDK if they offer a kit for the 2012-14 2.0, but I am sure they could create one easy enough.
  12. I have not a clue about that. I guess premium fuel makes enough of a difference on the ecoboost to satisfy the legal department at Ford? I don't think it was a typo to leave it out, it just did not meet their threshhold.
  13. Welcome to the forum, and congrats on such a rare find! Good luck with it, looking forward to see what all it is you do
  14. Yes it will. PCMs are programmed to respond to octane changes since the 2011 MY of the Edge/MKX. The difference likely won't be much as factory programming tends to be conservative.
  15. What tires did you have put on? Directional by any chance?
  16. Data is not publicly available on water pump failures so it is hard to say. But orange has been used for quite some time at least 2012MY+ on the Edge/MKX and seems safe to say it has been working for them? That initial change interval still gets my goat tho LOL.
  17. There ARE configurable parameters for all electronic modules in the Edge, the SAS/SASM being one of them. I would try simply pulling the neg batt cable for 40+ minutes and letting the entire system relearn. Might be all that is needed. Can you post the alignment sheet so we can see the before/after? Might spark an idea for us onlookers
  18. Ya but the configuration of stuff on the smaller engines is much more of a PITA than on larger engines like the 2.7 and 3.5. Finding the location of the parts can be a lotta fun LOL.
  19. documents for the CSP above CSP 18B21_2018Edge2-0EB 2018ExpeditionKeylessIgntion error in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software or Instrument prevents automatic shutdown.pdf
  20. Aside from disconnecting/reconnecting the faulty blend door actuator, you can try recalibration http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/23097-2014-edge-limited-no-heat/
  21. Wow that was really low pressure! There was absolutely no change in sound during operation? Usually you can hear a rattle or something especially if the spring is broken or the cam follower is broken. Enjoy the newfound power!
  22. Watch macbwt's video on how to take the valve cover off. Although on a 2011, basically the same process to take off on a 2008. 2011 has 2 VCT solenoids per bank since both intake and exhaust are variably controlled. 2008 only has 1 as only the intake is variably controlled. A new valve cover gasket is advised 7T4Z-6M280-C Control Valve Solenoid EDGE, MKX $83.37 $57.52 7T4Z-6584-B Valve Cover Gasket Valve Cover Gasket, RIGHT $14.53 $10.03 https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/auto-parts/2008/ford/edge/sel-trim/3-5l-v6-gas-engine/engine-cat/engine-parts-scat Removal and Installation Remove the LH or RH valve cover. For additional information, refer to Section 303-01 .Remove the bolt and the Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) oil control solenoid. To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). To install, reverse the removal procedure
  23. Welcome and congrats on the Sport! Ford family
