yeah you don't need wires. you need plugs and coilonplugs. Get this kit, it has plugs, COPs, gasket all in one, and fairly cheap for being OEM. What happened that the wires need to be replaced? They get burned up along with plugs, PCM and COPs? Or maybe pest damage? You will have to ask the dealer, I think. They don't even list them onlne AFAIK.

Yeah I would take this up directly with Ford and see if they sue the OEM Ford Motor Company, LOL. All you really lose is the calibrated blocks I believe, so if you can do that, still not a bad compromise. I don't remember if the 2nd gen camera calibrates, it does work for gen 1.5 tho otherwise. And it was about 80$ last time I looked. I thought there was some discussion that the difference is really just pin reassignment but for the life of me cannot locate that post anymore.

Do you know what software update was performed? A copy of the invoice with personal details redacted would be very welcome

AWD? Light throttle/cruise? Could be the PTU. Not reported on the Edge, but there is a TSB for the AWD Taurus. If a wrench light comes on though, it would point towards TSS/OSS sensors. Lastly, simply overdue spark plugs/coils causing misfires. SOMEtimes it is an injector or two, but mostly spark plugs/coils.

you say same oil PUP 5-30 was used for last oil change. interesting variation in additive #s as they are not the same - moly boron etc. Possibly a reformulation, as many mfrs did so late 3rd/4th quarter of 2017. it took you a year to run 7000 miles, what kind of driving do you do? how many engine hours was this, if you know off the top of your head? Might qualify for severe duty/special operating conditions. i would not exceed a 5,000 mile interval in this case. Wear does look good for an ecoboost tho.

well, you can adjust the headlights a bit higher, but it may cause issues in other situations. best solution? install quality HID lighting that allows you to see further and more clearly to begin with. You could add an LED bar as well, where it is acceptable to mount it will depend on what your LEOs are ok with. Sonar might help but unlikely, so stick with a lighting solution. I know what you mean tho. I generally do not travel such roads, but even so, many areas are now no longer properly lit. And many people use the shoulders for walking/biking/etc, without using appropriate reflective clothing. The shoulder is meant for vehicles to pull over in emergencies, but has been "misappropriated" for other uses. So we do have to find our own solutions to maintain safety.

Additive packages are what set apart the brands you buy. Costco 93 and Shell 93 will not perform the same. I have good experience lately with all grades of Exxon/Mobil Synergy gas. But yeah quality of gasoline is pretty good in Top Tier these days, as is engine design in general. It takes longer to reap rewards on stock vehicles, but there is definitely that daily boost in small doses that if you are sensitive to you can enjoy.
