  1. Hey, Ron, we got enough to deal with already, don't jinx it! LOL.

  3. Personally I am only focused on whether your Edge is driving flawfree at this point in time, and continues to in the future. Everything else is moot
  4. Check for instructions on the Ford Owner website. Should tell you how to stop this reminder.
  5. Welcome! That is some low miles on the new ride! Consider all new fluids for it soon to give you a headstart on a long, troublefree journey.
  6. EGR valves have been deleted since at least the introduction of the Edge/MKX. The variable timing system takes care of EGR functions now.
  7. It might it might not. Have not read one single review for this particular product.
  8. The waiting is the hardest part
  9. I would recheck all electrical connections detached during the timing chain/water pump replacement process. It is possible that the engine is using fixed timing instead of variable for a reason. That will really kill power. Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition to START position? Battery still strong CCA-wise?
  10. 9 FT4Z-6675-C Oil Pan 2.7 LITER $96.40 $66.52 10 FT4Z-6730-A Drain Plug 2.7 LITER $3.20 $2.21
  11. They do mention 4 levels of suspension setting in the video IIRC. So everyone can be happy Plus canyon carving is not the same for everyone. Some like all 4 planted on the ground, others like to do a bit of a wheelie, ...
  12. It is possible for your MY 2009, the fuel tank has to be dropped to access the fuel pump rather than accessing through the pass cabin floor. They made the switch sometime in the first gen.
  13. Rotors & pads? Work well, hold up well to daily driving. Would not recommend for tracking / auto-x'ing. I use the kit with the Z23 pads, not the AutoSpecialty "OEM" kits. I wish Z26 or Z37 pads were available, but they are not. As with any brakes, keeping the caliper bolts and slide pins clean and luricated will maximize braking performance.
  14. Used to associate that with a bad crank or cam sensor on older vehicles. I would doublecheck that. Could be simply a dirty/loose wiring connector. Depending on how many miles on your Edge, cleaning the MAF may not be sufficient, but todate I have not seen it cause a stall coming to a stop. Much more likely is the throttle body/TPS. You can check the data on Forscan to see what is going on with timing, TB % etc. First place I look to now for clues in the absence of codes (I assume you are not relying on CELs to say no codes).
  15. I think I have only seen these 2 members dismember the camera lens and surgically reattach it. Did make a difference, no idea if it was longterm fix or not. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/20283-2012-ford-edge-backup-camera-blurry-pic-on-touchscreen/?do=findComment&comment=155870 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/20284-2012-ford-edge-backup-camera-blurry-pic-on-touchscreen/?do=findComment&comment=156149
  16. Needing to install a replacement backup camera in your Gen 1.5 Edge? Here are some detailed pics from Edgieguy who recently completed this project: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/24903-replacing-and-reprogramming-camera/?do=findComment&comment=190879
  17. Do you know what part it was by any chance, evh? The locking ring for the pump, or a fuel hose, or ...? I woulda thunk those leaks caused discernable smells but maybe not.
  18. Nice, 23 mpg is not bad for that pig LOL.
  19. How did that trigger all the lights? Never heard it associated. Maybe the symptom is fixed, not the cause? Alignment was good?
  20. Definitely let it see a variety of conditions, low, mid, high speed etc. Varying throttle rates. Don't treat it like you are trying to win the Indy 500 and you should be OK. I think Ford says first 1,000 miles in the manual, so if you want you can change the oil then. BREAKING-IN You need to break in new tires for approximately 300 miles (480 kilometers). During this time, your vehicle may exhibit some unusual driving characteristics. Avoid driving too fast during the first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers). Vary your speed frequently and change up through the gears early. Do not labor the engine. Do not tow during the first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers).
  21. 80 grit comes highly recommended along with a cutting wheel.
