  1. Three words. Group Sixtyfive AGM. You can get the Motorcraft Toughmax in 800 CCA form for not that much. Or you can step up to the monster Odyssey
  2. Rear WBs do cost more as an assembly ... Fronts come as WBs or WB kits, IDK what they are installing.
  3. Who tunes your rides makes a big difference in how much performance you can extract. E is highly underrated as a fuel, especially in GTDI applications. Even with E30 you can rock your ride
  4. Seems excessive for wheel bearings. Are they using Motorcraft parts?
  5. Super Duper Glad to see a successful install, and look forward to the updates!
  6. Very nice Hope they sticky better than the Weathertech ones LOL.
  7. Ford quietly implemented drain plugs in all Gen 2 PTUs.
  8. I will have to check again, but parts had not come in for our Edge OR Fusion yet. So I literally have had no say in the matter. Leaving people out in the cold would NOT be a good move for them. So let's see ...
  9. Add a second intank pump or a higher volume intank pump and run E85 along with the dual injection system You can connect with Mike Bambic of EcoPowerParts.com if you haven't already. He built a custom system for the 3.5 Ecoboost to do just this a few years back, since he is Arizona based and they get soso 91 as premium.
  10. On to upper management and/or Ford Customer Service then. FCS can interface with the dealer and make it happen especially if the build date is close enough. Worth a try.
  11. On a small note, an aftermarket intercooler will finally be available en masse for the Taurus SHO (and brethren transverse kind) by the end of this year. Has been a LONG time coming. I note this especially because it is amazing that the Gen 2 Sport, around for <4 years, custom intercooler was driven to fruition in such a short period of time by dedicated enthusiasts. The SHO on the other hand has been around 9 years now! Plus custom turbos, swaybars, motor mounts and what not. WOW!
  12. Certainly worth checking out. Especially if it is at higher speeds, and has a bias turning one way or the other.
  13. Have to pull the fill plug and send in a lighted borescope/endoscope or simple drain the fluid. Will be easy to tell. If you don't want to remove the wheel/liner or put the Edge up on ramps, then yeah, dealer needs to check. But most dealers won't simply replace fluid, they will suggest replacing the PTU altogether. So you may want to call around first. Especially Lincoln dealers as they are generally more cooperative with fluid flushing the PTU/RDU. The manual does not mention RDU as a possibility, but it is much easier to check that, so have both units checked.
  14. still less overall oxygen at the same boost level milehigh vs sea. Engine management can drive boost higher to achieve the same power but you will need more boost to achieve the same power at milehigh vs at sea. Then you run into mpg issues because you may be going outside the turbo's efficiency map to achieve that higher boost. Gets messy.
  15. Ruh Roh. AWD? check the PTU for water contamination, do not drive further, hopefully not already destroyed
  16. Thinner air, less oxygen ... seems a recipe for less power to me, regardless of forced induction or not. We are literally talking 1+ second differences in the quarter mile compared to sea level. Turbo lag could contribute to that, sure, but Ford's turbos at least on the transverse engines are pretty small and quick to begin with. LandRover Jaguar's patent to address lag due to altitude https://patents.google.com/patent/US9874159B2/en?oq=9874159
  17. Wouldn't hesitate to talk to Livernois, find out if they have the inside track on the ST yet. If they will have mods/updates for the ST soon, you probably don't even need to worry about waiting for Ford to figure it out
  18. Could not turn up the volume on the video, but sounded good from what I could make out. Did you retain the catalytic converters?
