I don't think the problem is unique to Ford. Plus you have to judge the stock market over longer periods of time for any stock, particularly large capital stocks. I will be worried if they start reducing or eliminating dividends. On a daily basis, there is enough speculation by investors and enough banks trying to make money off those speculators to cause heartstopping swings in stock/index pricing. So, basically, look at stock history, the technicals, and base your decision on that, rather than news. The news we get is way too delayed to depend on for decisions.
