Maybe need to change the dealer, but def pursue with FCS as you are planning to. Sometimes they can grease the way to a successful conclusion. Ridiculous that such a simple problem cannot be addressed at a dealership. -
Congrats, Jim, looks sweet!

Exhaust for Edge Sport AWD 2011-2014
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to gene328is's topic in Accessories & Modifications
15482 does fit a 2013 MKX AWD which uses the 3.7L engine, so I imagine it would fit the Edge Sport as well. Pic of the 15482 kit for those curious: vs 16871 -
Gotta love it. Tho does the Ecoboost really need any more downlow torque? . / # HECK YEAH. GIMME GIMME GIMME ...

Trans won’t downshift when gas pedal aggressively floored
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to kkkkken's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Should get the kit from Ford for 2007-10 Edges. The coils will work fine for the 3.5L engine in 2011+ as well. If you got OEM coils, this is a big savings over individual pricing. BA5Z-12259-A Order online for the least hassle. -

Worth trying upstream fixes first as omar referred to earlier - plug change, coil change (or at least resistance verify), Techron Concentrate Plus or BG 44K, even Cataclean. MAY clear up on its own may not. If the problem originated upstream, which is very likely, then the new cat will go down the same road. Pulling the plugs will at least tell you whether this approach has value. -

2016 Ford Edge Sport AWD not active?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to RyanGlenn's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Need to get a visual on the PTU. I believe if it gets too hot, the car will revert to FWD. Same with the RDU. -

Have been told the Magnaflow listed for the FWD does fit the AWD as well. It is tight, but it fits. -

AWD always brings PTU to mind. I would check level and condition of the fluid via the fill plug. Would not be surprised if it is sludgy and well below the fill line. If you try a WOT launch from a stop, how does it behave? Does it feel like something is going to break? Or that the wheel is hopping? Then the PTU is done for. -
What’s this problem with loud sound on startup
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Rowdyone99's topic in 2.7L EcoBoost
In the absence of oil leaks, if the oil level is good, condition is good, I would not worry about it. I did not hear anything out of the ordinary for an Ecoboost engine. Maybe need to listen to it again ... -

Sometimes when replacing the booster, the seal between the master cylinder and booster can be damaged. If that happens, fluid will leak into the booster over time and destroy the booster. So definitely have it checked as low as possible. Another possibility is that air was introduced into the ABS system. That needs special procedures to bleed, normally a shop with access to IDS/high level scan tool can do this. Forscan can now do this as well, so if you can get access to a Windows-based device to load it on, worth a shot. -

Only in 2015-18 Sports, and probably 2019+ ST as well. But no drain plug and no temp sensor on 2007-14

Welcome! Sad to see the SHO go, but glad to see you are now in an ST! Congrats and rack up those miles of smiles!

Not unless it causes a demonstrable problem with warrantied items. Consumer Protection Act. Anyhoo, one of the reasons to stick with reputable and experienced tuners.

Most of us that have had problems with the AWD system have NEVER had a warning light LOL. It is possibly a wiring issue such as from the 4x4 module to the ATC connector (of the RDU). AWD Messages Action / Description AWD Off Displayed when the AWD system has been automatically disabled to protect itself. This is caused by operating the vehicle with the compact spare tire installed or if the system is overheating. The AWD system will resume normal function and clear this message after driving a short distance with the road tire re-installed or after the system is allowed to cool. Check AWD Displayed in conjunction with the Throttle Control/Transmission/AWD light when the AWD system is not operating properly. If the warning stays on or continues to come on, contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible Note: When an AWD system fault is present, the warning Check AWD will display in the information display. The AWD system is not functioning correctly and defaulted to front-wheel drive. When this warning is displayed, have your vehicle serviced at an authorized dealer. Note: The AWD Off message may also be displayed in the information display if the AWD system has overheated and defaulted to front-wheel drive. This condition may occur if the vehicle was operated in extreme conditions with excessive wheel slip, such as deep sand. To resume normal AWD function as soon as possible, stop the vehicle in a safe location and stop the engine for at least 10 minutes. After the engine has been restarted and the AWD system has adequately cooled, the AWD Off message will turn off and normal AWD function will return. In the event the engine is not stopped, the AWD Off message will turn off when the system cools and normal AWD function returns. Do not use a spare tire of a different size other than the tire provided. If the mini-spare tire is installed, the AWD system may disable automatically and enter front-wheel drive only mode to protect driveline components. This condition may be indicated by an AWD Off message in the information display. If there is an AWD Off message in the message center from using the spare tire, this indicator should turn off after reinstalling the repaired or replaced normal road tire and cycling the ignition off and on. It is recommended to reinstall the repaired or replaced road tire as soon as possible. Major dissimilar tire sizes between the front and rear axles could cause the AWD system to stop functioning and default to front-wheel drive or damage the AWD system.
