The Continental has proven difficult to tune 4 sure. Has to be related to newer transmission shifting strategies used by Ford. I think since the intro of the 2017 Fusion Sport, SOMEthing has changed significantly. Have you worked with Brad/AJPTurbo ( bradleyfredrickfischer@yahoo.com ) or Matt/Gearhead ( https://www.ghtuning.com/ )? Brad has tuned the Continental pretty well, I would get his input on what he can do for yours. Matt has tunes with auto octane adjust as well.

Ford and transmissions. Enough said. LOL.

Hopefully they get the transmission issues worked out soon, and make this discussion null and void

yes EVAP Purge Valve.

You mean the EVAP purge valve? Some things never change lol. Pinching the gasket on the firewall valve cover was a common problem on the Gen 1/2 SHOs as well. So some took to installing studs to guide the cover on and set in place with a dab of Permatex in that corner.

This is for a 6f50/55 tho. What does it say for a 6F35?

Sorry I do not, for Gen 2. It was 12NM or about 9 ft-lb for a 2014 tho. Not a lot of force at all. When in doubt, tighten till it starts fighting back, then another 1/8 of a turn. Torque wrenches from HF are reasonably decent in price and accuracy.

Mea Culpa Per the owners manual, the fluid capacity for the 2.0 6f35 is about 9 quart, so 4 is a good compromise on the drain. When did you have an alignment done last? roadforce balanced, 4 wheel alignment. Are the tires regularly rotated? If the AWD system (assuming you have AWD) is regularly activated, that can contribute some. But usually would be something in the rear suspension - shocks most likely.

file complaints with ford, and with the nhtsa. yes, IF there is action taken, it will take time, but it takes a village indeed.

there is only the CHT sensor, and I hesitate to say to mess with that.

Not sure why anything was in the way, usually it is the ecoboosts in gen 1.5 with those problems. The drain bolt on mine is plain as day, easy to access. Most people get 5 quarts or more out. Since you only got 4 quarts out, are you SURE you used the right bolt for the drain? Should be the lowest one on the trans pan. You can watch macbwt's videos to see for yourself which one it is.

What assistance are you looking for? And why do you need to replace the BCM?
