  1. You will need to access the MyKey function (admin key needed) to remove this restriction. Do you have both original keys?
  2. Yes, it is a general purpose cleaner, regular use helps prevent varnish buildup. You can read about the benefits on their website: http://www.marvelmysteryoil.com/
  3. MMO is an old name, perhaps Mystery Fluid will soothe the senses better Even transmission fluid is simply a lighter version of engine oil. And no, in the specified ratio, MMO does no harm.
  4. yes at least that injector + 6 new plugs
  5. Does it make any noise if you turn the steering wheel back and forth while stopped? When were brakes/slide pins/boots etc last serviced?
  6. Very possible it has an injector issue. You can compare electrical properties vs #5 & 6 injectors to confirm. Lucky it was not on #1-3 otherwise would have to pull the intake which you will have to if it is indeed faulty. But if not, you are spared a headache. At this mileage though doing all plugs at the least is a must, if that old plug looked worn. This is assuming you have cleared codes and the code has returned.
  7. Best of luck, let us know how it turns out!
  8. Using oxygenate fuels such as ethanol will also cut down on the soot. Unfortunately, you also would need a tune for the engine to run properly as it takes at least E20 to show the results.
  9. Welcome! What is the mileage on your Edge? These are the first signs that the TSS/OSS sensors are failing. A good time to verify that the range sensor, solenoid body assembly, and valve body are in good working order, since they all will be accessible at the time the sensors are replaced, with not a lot of additional labor. My guess is that the solenoid body is also on its way out, since you mentioned the reverse issue. As long as the fluid is in the pink of health, that should be the extent of the work required. As always, check fluid level and condition first before delving deeper.
  10. owner.ford.com will let you know re: outstanding field service actions (recalls & CSPs).
  11. The linkage for the actuator, the part inside the turbo housing is typically what breaks. Are you perhaps referring to the wastegate/BOV itself? I am not familiar with the F-ST turbo setup, but generally EB turbos have integrated actuators. Here is a pic from Turbosmart The linkage that breaks is highlighted in the attached pic
  12. Projectors are truly underrated, versatile parts. Although they will not create perfect beam patterns, they can create quite acceptable beam patterns. A big step up from reflectors.
  13. Hello & welcome! What is the code you are getting? Most likely you will need to replace the turbo because of wastegate actuator failure.
  14. Could be a steering angle sensor, resides behind the airbag in the steering wheel.
  15. What is the mileage on your Edge? How do you know the battery is bad? Have you checked CCAs and voltage? Are the terminals clean n tight? Since you are getting identical response on all coils and there are no visual indications of issues, it is unlikely that is where the problem lies. As dragster mentioned, check the starting system, see how many amps the starter is trying to draw. Any major auto parts store can run battery, starting system, and charging system tests for you for free, some will even pull codes/give you a printout.
  16. Never, ever play around with pegs, only kegs.
  17. You checked codes before you restarted the engine, and nothing? Then agreed, check battery terminal / connections first. Hopefully it is as simple as that. There have been cases where software needs to be upgraded to fix "ghost issues" in the cluster, so that is another possibility to look into.
  18. Welcome! ALL the lights? As in what flashes at startup time? May be loss of power which would typically indicate a throttle body issue. If codes were set, they would have to be read before the next time the engine is started, because the throttle body codes P211x are "temporary". If you do not already have an OBD II adapter and software on your smart device, highly recommend getting so equipped, and carrying in your vehicle.
  19. Pretty typical. You spoke with XDI directly? They provide any insight? Maybe they can provide measurements to work with and you can compare it with the one on your Sport?
  20. The Edge is such a niche market that there are very few meaningful off the shelf mods available for it, even with the introduction of the Gen 2 Sport. The "rest of us" appreciate being able to windowshop while y'all spend the time, effort, money to actually get things done. Onward and upward.
