  1. Check out macbwt's videos on the subject on his youtube channel MACTFORDEDGE. More than you ever wanted to know, most likely, LOL. For example,
  2. Big leap forward! Welcome & congrats! Pics of the two rides?
  3. Welcome! Service history? Fluid changed at what mileage, this is very important. Could be the fluid was let go too long. Since you got a CEL, check for codes set in the PCM. I suspect it will say either a TSS or OSS sensor related issue. Hopefully nothing deeper like a clutch. There is a possibility of a cracked tone ring as well. Getting to be that age. The most likely result: needs new TSS/OSS sensors (always repair in pairs), new fluid, and possibly a reset of the transmission adaptive tables.
  4. 1 crank sensor and 2 cam sensors for the 2007-10 model years.
  5. What version of the Sync/Nav software are you running right now? Please post a snapshot with this information, the gears icon at the bottom of the main menu, then System Info.
  6. What is the cranking speed? About 150-200 rpm? Where are you located? Southern states like TX, AZ, FL? Heat kills everything ... including starters, ignition switches, sensors, key fobs/batteries, etc. It COULD be a crankshaft sensor, would have to monitor it on a scope while cranking.
  7. Welcome and congrats! Pics Pics Pics Please

  9. Sweet! Welcome, congrats and post pics when you take delivery of "Your Precious"
  10. No it is not first hand for me, but based on several owner testimonials. For the Edge, generally, with a few exceptions, you are better off sticking with Motorcraft/Ford parts rather than aftermarket to retain OEM quality operation. Aftermarket parts either do not fit well, or do not last long. If you can find a Motorcraft branded ball joint, or are willing to do the job again, give it a go. Keep us updated either way
  11. It might if you floor it going downhill and cruise all the way uphill
  12. Yes the 2.3 and the 2.7 use the same throttle body https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/oem-parts/ford-throttle-body-gb8z9e926a
  13. Thermostat is only good for starting the flow across the radiator earlier. The fans do the real work. You want to significantly enhance cooling? Have the fans come on earlier and stay on longer. Works well with a colder TStat.
  14. The A/C might have insufficient charge/refrigerant, possibly due to a leak. Normal to have a little bit of gurgling/hissing after shutdown, but a prolonged episode is worth looking into. Especially if cooling on the driver side seems weaker than on the passenger side. Also clear out the evaporator drain with compressed air, make sure it is not backed up.
  15. You will find that such a fix will not last long. The ball joint - control arm socket has worn already, so the fitment will not be as goodntight as a brand new LCA.
  16. Just hate the thought of your Edge even getting a scratch, but I guess I can live with the "minor" mashup ... Also gives the opportunity to see what all hides behind the bumper cover/body panels etc on the insurance co's dime
  17. Welcome, and congrats on the sweet stablemates! FWD or AWD?
  18. I assume you have a 2007-10 Edge/MKX? That part number does not show up for new, only used such as found on ebay here The pressure line new is Ford Motorcraft PSH-60 8T4Z-3A719-A Hose Assy And this is the return line POWER STEERING RETURN HOSE 07-15 EDGE MKX #7T4Z3A713A
