You could delay the replacement with Techron Concentrate Plus or similar quality cleaner IF there is a debris issue in the rail or injector. But given the mileage on your vehicle, the longterm fix is to replace the injector. If you are DIY'ing, as long as you properly depressurize the fuel system, you should be fine. Then you can choose to just replace the one injector, or all of them. If you are paying to have this done, better to replace all of them at one time.

advancetracsystem Advanced Track System service Warning
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Mshaban's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Tone rings and wheel speed sensors are frequent culprits for such warnings. Sometimes you get false warnings, but that has only been noted in cases of extended idling, or while shifting gears. Welcome, and congrats! The Taurus served you well, may it R.I.P.

Sloppy service, but yes, the positive terminal on Gen 1.5 has been known for issues like this. Hopefully their diagnosis was better than their service!

Power Stop offers different levels of kits https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=10187364&cc=3310415&jsn=1900 I would use a minimum of Z23/Z26 pads, preferably Z36 pads for performance oriented driving.

Welcome! If you plan on keeping the Edge a while, upgrading to Sync3 instead is a better option. You can put the kit together if you are a DIY'r, or buy the kits from various vendors.

Yeah, last time I tried to disconnect a fuel injector, the connector broke off and would not stay latched. Much more of a PITA than the COP connector, LOL. Glad to hear the "master reset" worked. Let's see if it has any permanency.

Sorry for your loss! Hope you and yours are OK tho.

Which engine do you have, the 3.5/3.7 or the 2.0?

Race gas has been the best reviewed of all these products, that I have seen. If you want to get that 100+ octane kick, this is THE way to go. If you want to simply buttress that 91 performance, you can also try BND Automotive's ACES IV formula for gasoline engines. Brian has a wide variety of products for the engine and transmission, and they work well. I was able to get 3+ degrees of timing on 87 in our 2010 F Sport. You will notice the kick for sure. http://bndautomotive.com/aces-formulas/aces-iv-gasoline-formula/ Call him, but be prepare to have your ear talked off ?

Check for CHRA kits for the 2.0 Ecoboost turbo. If available (eBay usually, but on Ford enthusiast sites also), that is a good option. A rebuild that includes better seals is the best option, but $$$.

Ford Edge leaking oil(found but wondering what this is)
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Tdugas2's topic in Mods & Tech
The firewall side of the engine is Bank 1 yes. Check the valve cover for leaks. Can happen if the PCV valve has not been replaced for a loooong time, for example. -
Can Forscan enable showing the active gear?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Jombi's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Best to look into having the manifolds ported for quickest return on investment. Similar to what has been done for the 3.5/3.7L engines by supersixmotorsports.com -
Engine Oil Life Reset 2007 Edge SEL Plus?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to EDCinDET's topic in 2007 Edge & MKX
No oil life monitor on the Edge prior to the 2011 MY. -
Welcome! Hopefully your Edge will stay troublefree for a long time. Always keep up on fluid maintenance, do not fall for the extended intervals Ford suggests.

Welcome, sweet ride!

This link contains an interesting graph of brake fluid performance when moisture absorption exceeds DOT specified test limits https://www.epicbleedsolutions.com/resources/faq/dry-and-wet-boiling-points-dot-brake-fluid/ And increased hygroscopicity is not a bad thing. It keeps moisture from destroying metal components. It just means that a brake fluid tester should be used regularly to keep up with fluid condition, and/or do regular fluid flushes. You can get test strips/pens on Amazon pretty easy. Also note that if your brake system specifies LV fluid, be sure to check that the viscosity of any replacement fluid meets those specs.
