  1. Thanks for the link. I have been thinking of a project for mine as well, and this will be a great help!
  2. Very nice looking vehicle! How long are these wraps designed to last?
  3. Learned about the notorious cabin air filter problem and fix here. Solutions for other problems, here as well. Add to that all the practical advice on maintenance and modifications, WOW!
  4. Blame it all on Microsoft. Their "production" software is usually deployed as mass-market beta test versions anyway Plus the Throttle Body is electronically controlled. Hmmm ...
  5. Most likely the battery slowly drained down while in rush hour traffic. Alternator did not have enough rpm's on it to keep battery fully charged. Had it been summertime, with the A/C on ... (Yes, I realize there are cobwebs on this thread )
  6. I don't have any specific ideas why this problem is there, but just looking at the work list, I thought: 1) Are the coils/plugs connected properly and securely? May not be firing on all cylinders consistently. Would be my culprit of choice. 2) Did you replace the PCV valve when doing the plugs? The consensus on this forum is that you pretty much have to mangle the existing PCV valve to do the plug change. 3) If the trans was "flushed" and it had never been flushed before, may want to inspect the fluid to make sure it's clean/smells normal. (Not sure of fluid capacities for the Edge.) 4) Did you reduce the oil used for the oil change by the amount of Seafoam added?
  7. Got the vehicle back today. They replaced the ignition cylinder. Works well so far.
  8. That's one of the niggles I have mine in for. Will find out hopefully by Wed what if anything the dealership did to fix it, and report back.
  9. Welcome to EdgeWorld I didn't even look at the Escape after finding out about the rear drum brakes (!). Hopefully Ford has made the brakes strong on the 2013 edge. They just love to undersize them ...
  10. Glad it's resolved. I have heard this type of noise from failing compressor clutches, the repair usually being to replace the compressor
  11. Could try Plastidip'ing it a la http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/11010-plasti-dip-my-grille/
  12. I have used Performance Friction pads on my other cars, and they do work well, albeit dustier and perhaps harder on the rotors. http://www.performancefriction.com/parts-finder/pfc-catalog/aftermarket-catalog.aspx They list pads for the 2007-2010 Edge: Part Number Description Position Notes 1258.20 Carbon Metallic Brake Pad Front 1259.20 Carbon Metallic Brake Pad Rear Carbotech's 1521/Bobcat pads also come recommended by many users in other forums, you can check them out here: http://www.ctbrakes.com/pads.asp?Make=Ford-Trucks_%26_SUVs Edge 2011-2011 1521 AX6 XP8 XP10 XP12 XP16 XP20 RP2 F: CT1258 $137 $151 $163 $176 $190 $205 $221 $205 R: CT1377 $130 $140 $152 $164 $177 $191 $206 $191 Edge 2007-2010 1521 AX6 XP8 XP10 XP12 XP16 XP20 RP2 F: CT1258 $137 $151 $163 $176 $190 $205 $221 $205 R: CT1259 $132 $143 $154 $166 $180 $194 $209 $194 Porterfield does now make their R4-S pads for the Edge: http://porterfield-b...Brake Pads.html Total Record(s) - 2 ( page 1 of 1 ) [ 1 ] AP1258 R4-S Click Here for Compound Information Set of 4 Pieces FRONT for FORD: 07-11 Edge // LINCOLN: 07-11 MKX // MAZDA: 07-11 CX-7, 07-11 CX-9 Click For Details AP1259 R4-S Click Here for Compound Information Set of 4 Pieces REAR for FORD: 07-10 Edge // LINCOLN: 07-10 MKX // MAZDA: 07-11 CX-7, 07-11 CX-9 Click For Details
