  1. What year Edge? Is the fluid full? Looks clean & healthy? Then I suggest you try replacing it completely / flushing with Valvoline MaxLife Full Synthetic ATF, which is mercon V compatible. Hope it is available where you are. Is it more effort turning in one direction vs another? Does the effort level go away with higher RPMs turning lock to lock while parked and idling?
  2. MIght need ABS module reprogramming, OR brake booster replacement.
  3. Might be for 2007-10 Edge/MKX vehicles. Radiator 7T4Z-8005-A EDGE, MKX; W/TRAILER TOWING PKG. $285.88 $197.26 ADD TO CART 1 Radiator 7T4Z-8005-B EDGE, MKX; W/O TRAILER TOWING PKG. $221.10 $152.56
  4. 2011+ Edge/MKX will take advantage of fuels up to 93, from the factory. Tuning will increase the benefits further, but most times, you will have to switch tunes to switch octane grades. Gearhead Tuning may have an Auto Octane tune that gets around this tho, I would speak with them.
  5. Did you take pics during the process? Sure the timing marks are correctly aligned?
  6. yeah probably could use a recalibration, but IDK if the procedure for MyFord is the same as MyFordTouch.
  7. Are you having oil consumption issues? That may be a problem in your 2011 Edge. If you check oil level regularly, you will know. OR if you check the intake tubing/back of the throttle plate and see pooling oil. Then you would need to update the front valve cover to fix it. Also due for new plugs and new fluids at the very least. Then there are the standard variables: load carried by the vehicle, tire pressure, driving conditions, fuel quality, etc.
  8. Any recent exposure to heavy rains or high pressure car washes? Could be water intrusion into the battery junction box or the BCM. Is the lighting halogen or HID? Stock or modified?
  9. is the door latch pulling an amp draw? if so, it might be causing the battery problems you are seeing.
  10. Pretty much any of the sellers that have been in this game a long time will do well. I would pick a product with at least 2-3 year warranty. DDM TheRetroFitSource DriveBright Most of the conversions that have issues have been on the 2011 MY vehicles, IDK why but that's what I have seen reported.
  11. 2011-18 3.5/3.7 engines on the Edge/MKX platform do indeed have the updated timing setup, since the engines are now Ti-VCT i.e. BOTH intake and exhaust cams are variable. Compared to 2007-10 engines being VCT i.e. only the intake cams being variable.
  12. There is a thread on the Ford Fusion Forum on how to do this, may be similar in nature. http://www.fordfusionforum.com/topic/7391-auto-headlights-install-on-a-se-easy/
  13. gotta be a hoot to drive!
  14. Special_K, may i request that you add a full list of the mods done to your Edge in the signature? I know the parts list for the 2.7 is published, but I am not sure exactly what all is done specifically to yours. The list is so long that when I am asked to recite it, I constantly keep leaving items off of it! TYVMIA!
  15. It's almost 2020 now. Time to replace the struts, I think. Go with Motorcraft or Sachs Stabilus.
  16. Too bad the Ford family couldn't keep ya, but glad you were able to move on with "minimal" damage. Good luck!
