Sweet! Are the difficulties related to tying this in to remote start/theft deterrence, or ... More insight please

Great news, thanks for the update, and looking forward to those pics!

Benny (https://www.levittownfordsupercenter.com/) is our goto guy on this forum. I don't know where you would get 2012-13 Edge parts other than dealer or fleabay. Might be able to save on shipping by going to a local Ford dealer. The official Ford site is http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/CatalogResults.aspx?y=2013&m=Ford&mo=Edge#Search Under Electrical, Lighting & Body, then Lighting-Exterior, near the very end of the listings, you will see the listing for fog lights. HTH.

Welcome to the Edge community, and thank you for your service to our great nation I find the Edge almost TOO comfortable at times Really liked the Magnums when they came out, still like to see them around. The R/Ts and SRT8s are a rare sight. Nice work on yours! Very clean.

Per the part number provided in the listing, 9A5J-1007-AA, looks like chrome clad. About $800 per wheel from a dealer. Ford direct link to these wheels: http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/PartDetail.aspx?n=Qus25c%2f30JMhlr7SDlkn4Q%3d%3d&id=229589797&m=2&search=true&year=2013&make=Ford&model=Edge But yeah, please do let us know

Welcome! Great folk on this forum make this a great place to be. As far as pics, a quick search on images netted me this link. Looks like the wheels you have linked to: http://www.carrentingreviews.com/2012/06/20/2013-ford-edge-limited-update/ Sorry, no experience with 'em. I am happy with the stock 18's, unlikely to be "borrowed"!

Hard to tell from the color of the fluid, but smell should tell you whether it is engine oil or trans/PTU/PS fluid. They smell distinctly different. If you have an AWD, a venting PTU is a known issue. could be a PTU/axle seal leak also, but seems too substantial for that. Don't think it is coolant, but again, the smell test should be helpful. I would clean up the area with Engine Degreaser or something like that, then take the vehicle for a test drive about 20 miles (enough to warm up the trans fluid from a cold start) and check the leak again. Should make it clearer where the leak is originating. HTH

Shouldn't you limit the number of limited emblems? Just to avoid a paradox? Just sayin' :peelout:

Exhaust/Intake questions...
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to KingMike's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I think you might be surprised exactly how fast the Gen4 SHOs can go. The main difference being they are tunable and have quite a bit of aftermarket support, despite that gen SHO having been out for less time than the Edge. We have not really tested the limits of the engine or the transmission in the Edge. One person on this forum claims to have turbo'd their vehicle. One vendor has displayed such a vehicle at SEMA. Whoopydeedo. In that sense, it makes me think Ford turned the Edge into a "Grandma" car. Just buy it and drive it. The engine bay certainly doesn't leave too much room for change, especially if you still want to do regular maintenance yourself afterwards. -

Welcome, and please feel free to contribute to the forum's pix collection I purchased mine at about the same mileage as well. Funny that I test drove an Edge way back when and didn't like it as much then!

Welcome, glad to have you aboard! Now all we need is visual confirmation of your Edge ownership :shades:

Good look for a winter's day shoot.

Headlight Delay?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to toolman605's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Could try putting a little window film over the sensor to see if it makes any difference, otherwise the sensor may be plumb worn out from all that tunnel driving -
You'd think Ford would have fixed this BDA plague by now, but instead it seems to have extended a helping hand to the door switch/latch :chairshot:

Welcome to the fold Sounds like you are off to a good start ...

Glad you got it all working, and thank you to Woltz & Wind Ford for being responsive to their customers.

Did a factory Nav unit swap
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to thirdgenlxi's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Liking the gauges you pulled up, Jared. Any idea how far that capability goes? I am interested in AFR, Trans Temp, Engine Temp, all the standard stuff. Also, does it have capability for auditory speed confirmation? I find that often in traffic/accelerating into traffic merges, I don't get a chance to visually monitor speed, so a low volume auditory confirmation would be really helpful. Keep my eyes on traffic and the road, not the gauges. -
Dingo had mentioned Cravenspeed in another thread. So, in your experience, is the antenna indeed brush and carwash proof?

Do 20s make a ride that much quieter?

There's that much room for improvement even after the underhood liner? I need to get this done ASAP! -
Fog Light Problems
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to cmillz1331's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
"What? You have HIDs? Well, we've found ourselves the problem, now haven't we? (All-knowing nods)" I'd take it elsewhere. It is entirely possible that some feedback from your HID kit is causing a burp, but they should be able to figure out where. Maybe you SHOULD return the lights to stock before that second opinion. Just so you know whether the fogs work at all.
