Ford Expands 2.0L EcoBoost Engine Plant
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Edge Guide's topic in 2.0L EcoBoost
Gas is quite expensive in Europe! BMW's on the turbo bandwagon also, so it seems the "premium" labels are "downsizing" as well. I am all for fuel economy, but I am all for giving the consumer options as well.- 22 replies

Very nice, thank you! Worthwhile upgrades -
Nice looking vehicle! I am curious, why the trade? You had so much work into the '11, that thing was totally pimped! Planning to do the same / more with the '13?

Great pix, especially the Civic 4x4 :D Thanks for the shots of the HID lighting, good reference point. You did an FX35 based projector retrofit for the HID, correct? We have one bridge close to us that opens up, takes about 10-12 minutes total I think, not too bad. Just that you can't see the ships sailing on through coz the view is totally blocked!

Ford Expands 2.0L EcoBoost Engine Plant

Is the 3.7L being phased out? Isn't that still being used on the Mustang? I wonder if we are seeing the beginning of the end for all things naturally aspirated except in true load hauling vehicles.- 22 replies

I think people are either buying bumper plugs to fill those holes, or making some plugs themselves out of material from the hardware store. If you want to explore going that route

Can you provide some details on what you went with and how easy/difficult it was to install? Did it come with GPS service or do you pay periodic dues? TIA.

Glad the spellcheck's working for you, LS! Kudos to Haz for lighting the way

Jared, would you mind posting up that cooling system corrosion TSB/recall? I looked up owner.ford.com for recalls for my 07 and don't see anything listed there. Does that mean the recall work was completed? EDIT: Nevermind about the TSB/recall info, I found it on your post here http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/4264-heater-core-corrosion-letter/page-4 Still would like to figure out about whether the recall to see at least if the water pump inlet tube has been replaced

Could be an admin-only setting on the profile that turns spell check on/off? If it happened across websites, I would say faulty or missing dictionary. Or you are typing way too fast

Yeah, one of the things I always see is problems with access to the codes for diagnostics. Generally have to pay for that, rather than being able to look up a service manual or a forum ( ); wealth of info locked away from us! I am curious about your experience with power draw on this particular bluetooth adapter. Does it go to sleep on "inactivity", or does it continue to draw power even after engine shutdown? Some of these devices have caused battery rundowns when left plugged in.

Are you planning to use an Android or iPhone with the bluetooth OBD2 adapter? I am planning to implement this myself, but go with a hardwired Scangauge or Ultragauge for now. I hear Torque for Android is pretty a popular app.
