A: probably a faulty door latch/switch (common issue on the Edge) - some have squirted WD40 on the mechanism & relieved for a little while; ultimate fix is replacement B: likely a faulty headlamp switch. Haven't heard of wiring issues being common (other than an instance of a bad connector on the bulb, for instance), so I would remove & examine the switch. Possibly melted/fused. HTH.

Keen observations, and glad your experience turned out well for you This post will help out a lot of people new to the scene! BTW, time to post some pics :stats: Have you figured out the MF towel and pad cleaning process? That's the next thing I am sure you are thinking of If you get enough towels, may want to organize them in drawer carts or something similar. Also buy some quality empty bottles and label them for the particular product you are using. My preference, but I don't like reusing bottles for different products. How clean is clean, you know?

I know this may not be the case, but ... Could be an errant device draining the battery also. Leaving things plugged into the cigarette lighter, forgetting to turn headlights off are other common reasons.

Training yourself to help the Edge sip gas is the hard part! Even then, I find that at the very least, learning and working with the shift points helps any driving style.

Looks nice! I am thinking about installing moulding underneath the sensors on the rear bumper coz people in my area can't seem to resist making an impression on it.

Bob, can you post a video? On cold startup, these engines can make some unsettling noises for sure, especially when it IS cold outside. May just be a question of very brief, inadequate lubrication, tho not sure.

Typically, you only need emergency brake shoes on one corner, so you should be fine buying just 1 set. I don't know how much shipping is out to you, but you can check with our forum sponsor, Levittown Ford, to see what pricing/shipping they can do for you on this kit. I know they ship overseas, just don't know if worldwide. Pretty sure under $100 shipped, but check with them (Benny is our contact). http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10937-employee-pricing-on-all-parts-accessories/ Info From Ford website direct: Part Name: Parking Brake ShoeBrand: Ford Genuine Parts Part Number: 2648 Price: $79.98 Quantity: +Add To Cart ShareThis Part Description: Quantity Per Vehicle: 1 Package Quantity: 1 Weight: 3.80 lbs Dimensions: 9.25 IN x 2.63 IN x 8.63 IN http://www.levittownfordsupercenter.com/repair-parts/ford/edge/2010/brakes/parking-brake/ -
Probably why vent shades were invented.

If you like the chrome wheels, the chrome/shiny hood lifts could complement that, especially if you have a darker colored vehicle. Do you want the lifts to hide or stand out?

N2O over here for a riot on wheels.
