Welcome, Ken! Glad you are enjoying the Edge as your DD. Can be quite a bit of fun. I believe making your own CAI using PVC piping may be the best/cheapest option right now. I have seen this done across other platforms, no reason to doubt its' effectiveness here. Hypertech apparently makes modules for the Gen 1 Edges, good to know that Jet Performance makes an effective module for the Gen 2's. I believe BobC has successfully testing replacing the throttle body with a performance Mustang throttle body (since you have the 3.7?). He also had a custom tune done for his ride. Pics of your brakes? Thought about tinting your headlights/taillights? Do you get to open the Dark Snake up on the roads around there? Feel free to add pics here too

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WOBMKX/~MUS~LEN/41/11mkxog2e.pdf Owner Guide for 2011 MKX Pg 292 shows you dipstick location, Pg 319 shows you procedure for checking. Basically run the engine until warmed up, then check the dipstick reading. Could also be in need of a PCM programming update/flash.

Do you have an AWD or FWD? Any leaks? Low on transmission fluid? Those'd be the first things to check. I have heard the fuel pump whine, and that is a headache-inducing frequency. Doesn't seem to be the case here. Don't think it is a wheel bearing going bad, though the noise level does vary with speed.

2012 Edge Sport, My impressions not very good so far.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Diesel350's topic in Owner Impressions
Probably a faulty door latch mechanism/switch. Should be under warranty. All I can say, you ARE getting them fixed, and I hope your luck holds true No more fixups, darn it -
I was able to access the links just now, they should work.

I think there was a post or two on this forum re: this info. You WOULD need adapters to fit the smaller bore on the Edge to fit the larger bore on the Mustang wheels, at the very least. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/8718-hub-size-difference-2009-to-2012/

2013 Edge Limited AWD on the driveway today
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Hockeyref's topic in Welcome Forum!
You had some nice (and fast) rides! The Edge is no slouch in that department, though I do wish there were more aftermarket choices, or even an SVT version. No question there is untapped potential in this beast. Funny that the tech was the tops on your list, considering how much of a beating MFT has received over the years I have an AWD I got (used) primarily for its' utility. Little to no tech in it, but the only things I really miss factory are a backup camera and GPS. There are a few riders on this forum. They have posted pix on this thread http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/1730-post-pics-of-your-other-rides/ So there is some scope for that type of discussion on here too! Hope your computer can be brought online quickly, swear these things have a mind of their own :punched: -
Looks really sharp, Cellbine! How are the rims holding up for ya?

A lower temp thermostat does help some in warmer climates, allowing the system to keep its' average temps lower. Don't know if the computer is programmed to accommodate lower temp thermostats, but I have not seen any significant impact on emissions mentioned on other forums (for other cars). What is the cooling system service history? Maybe it's time to get a flush, or at least change out the coolant and see if that helps. Are you sure the fan is working properly? Maybe the sensor is acting up? Probably too early to have set a code, but ...
