Dr ColorChip and 3M Paint Defender review
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Hollywood1's topic in Exterior & Body
Coolio! I need to get to work touching up the various "contact spots" people have left on the paint -
http://www.helpforcars.net/obd_codes/codes.php?code=P0722 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/8776-2008-mkx-with-some-big-problems/ Seems to indicate faulty output shaft speed sensor (OSS), vehicle speed sensor (VSS) OR faulty TCM.

http://www.morepowertuning.com/edge When I hear MRT Performance, I think of these folks in Michigan: http://www.mrt-direct.com/ They are very good, and I believe had developed a one-off turbo Edge for SEMA way back when.

Congrats & welcome!

Now we just need BR media to drop to DVD price levels Since hard drives and software keep getting ever larger, need max optical capacity!

AC not blowing out of vents
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to fezzman's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Could be gaskets coming loose in the vents, has been known to happen. If the cabin air filter were dirty, it would affect all the vents, but doesn't hurt to check. -
Shift to Park Warning when it's in Park
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to AmyLovesHerEdge's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Hope they are cooperative and fix it once and for all! -
They may be CYA'ing to differentiate the product from true automotive sealants. Also, they said it is "durable", but I haven't found the length of time mentioned anywhere. For example, automotive sealants are claimed to last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.

Super SPAM? Very interesting find, Cellbine! Apparently a silicone based technology from Ross Nanotechnology Corp., now marketed by Rustoleum. Rustoleum says it "dries to a flat light haze", so I don't think it is suitable for surfaces where the shine is desirable. Still, worth experimenting with. MSDS here: http://www.rustoleum.com/MSDS/ENGLISH/274233.PDF http://www.rustoleum.com/MSDS/ENGLISH/274234.PDF

Welcome to the community, and congratulations on a very nice looking Edge!

Sounds a little low to me (rated for up to 16/24) IF you were not using A/C. I guess if you were using a lot of cruise control, increasing tire pressures, and hypermiling, you COULD squeeze 1-2 mpg more out of it.

Tried to add a new photo album, can't find the darned button to do so. All I get is SELECT ALBUM. Oh well. And yes, I know I need to get that cover cleaned

my 07 edge whats done and goin to be done
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Ron Bemberry's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Do you have a backup camera installed? That would be something to add to your dvd/nav upgrade. -
10-21-14 maybe, not sure.

Good luck with your sale. That is a beautiful color for the Edge, especially when cared for. Hopefully you can get into a Ford Flex!
-
Nope, no towing. But in this area, highways are notorious for traffic slowdowns, like creep along slowdowns Luckily, I had only about 6 miles of that yesterday. Besides that, the city driving was low speed as well, lots of slowing and accelerating at lights and people ahead turning right.
-
Welcome to the community! What color did you go with? How did you come to choose the Edge?
-
Nothing to crow about here, but here's mine: 2007 Edge 228.5 miles 21.0 mpg 41 mph Avg speed for trip 85% highway, 50% very hilly highway (meaning had to really get revs up to keep speed up). Will post pics later before I move the Edge again as proof of life

Until we get pix, we believe you are riding on 14" rusted steel rims

Isn't that what duct tape's for?
-
Hmm. Maybe a catch can is in order if the TB is getting dirty from that. Space is already plenty tight in that compartment tho.

PM thirdgenlxi, he may be able to help. Especially if no one else chimes in on this thread.
