  1. Couple of good-looking cars! Post up a side by side pic if that's ok
  2. Search for "Brightest LEDs" in this forum, and you will see a thread by candurin. That listing 4 sure applies to 2011-2013 models. There may have been running changes in production on your specific Edge, always a possibility, but likelihood seems very low.
  3. He's got me going green with envy at his very cool mods
  4. I think Dingo uses the Green Filter. Must be SOME benefit to it.
  5. How long does it usually take you to do your exterior detail? Do you have an indoor facility you can use for this purpose?
  6. Cool! For those of you looking into it: KYB Part # 334645 GR-2 / Excel-G Front Left KYB Part # 334644 GR-2 / Excel-G Front Right KYB Part # 349068 GR-2 / Excel-G Rear
  7. Mediabridge & StarTech make some good quality, decent priced USB cables. I tried the cheap, noname ones from EBay/China, too fragile. So, back to BezosMart
  8. I guess Ford was thinking, REMOTE = person not in vehicle/save power, INSIDE SWITCH = person in vehicle/continue amenities. Could have combined the INSIDE SWITCH function with the seat pressure sensor function to make sure there is someone indeed inside the vehicle. OTOH, leaving this "loophole" allows passengers in-vehicle to remain connected.
  9. What are you trying to change? The OSS/VSS, ...
  10. I think you are taking the "information highway" a bit too literally Definitely stocked for communications now! Which window visors did you go with? National Park tours, yum. For work or leisure?
  11. You mean, no car is perfect??? Heaven forbid! I do love their Eco manufacturing ads tho.
  12. Be sure to post some afterpics of the install & log your experience too Weather is supposedly clear for me for the next week, but too cold to be outside washing the Edge. I just need to figure out how to integrate the touchless wash so it doesn't sandpaper the paint.
  13. Maybe someone can post the workshop manual's procedure for replacement. Here is a relevant TSB 12-08-10 for the rear wheel hub: http://www.fordservicecontent.com/pubs/content/~WT/~MUS~LEN/3563/tsb12-08-10.pdf HOWL OR GROWL NOISE FROM REAR WHEEL AND BEARING ASSEMBLY Original TSB for this problem was 09-26-5. EDIT: Latest TSB update is 14-0098 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18331-howl-or-growl-type-noise-from-rear-wheel-area/
  14. Good to hear! As far as a recall, unless there are enough accidents attributed to this issue, I don't see that happening. Just the way business is done.
  15. Washed? I knew I was forgetting SOMEthing!!! Been beating on the Edge last couple of days. Was having problems with what seemed like transmission slippage, along with mild stumbling/misfire type behavior. Dealer had suggested MAF sensor replacement, I thought they were blowing smoke. Well, after putting in a new OEM unit (great deal from alanisdeals on EBay), all the issues seem to have been resolved. I had even cleaned the old sensor with MAF cleaner to no avail.
  16. It's red, so it's going to be good, fast, and reliable Welcome, officially!
  17. Let us know how the replacement holds up with your HIDs. I guess you got the "lucky" part from the factory
  18. Since this type of thread hasn't been started yet, thought I'd give it a little push. Very popular on other forums, hope to make it a success here as well! Posts should generally be short & sweet, detailed postings better placed in their own thread or added on to existing appropriate threads. That's the idea. I replaced the fog lights on my Edge yesterday. They were looking somewhat anemic compared to my Osram NB Plus headlights. Went with Optilux (Hella) H11 Extreme Yellow bulbs for visibility. At least I can make out I have fog lights on now! Still to be tested at night. Next up, polish the fog covers to maximize the light.
  19. Welcome & congrats! The mineral grey community is expanding and so is the EB engined community! Post some pics of your ride when you get a chance, underhood pics welcome too!
  20. And unlike in the case of the transmission fluid dipstick, have the engine off before checking.
  21. Same symptoms, Dingo? Any noticeable improvements yet?
  22. I have no intention of doing this mod, as I find the rear wiper too useful. But you could get some sort of rubber or plastic plug from Home Depot sized to fit (like people do for front license plates), then paint it/PD it to match as needed.
