  1. Could be a faulty throttle body, could require PCM update to make sure transmission is shifting correctly, OSS/VSS sensors could be going bad. Those are my top 3 suggestions (most likely items with the Edge).
  2. Very bright, looks good, Dingo! So, switchbacks? Did you add remote control to it?
  3. How did I link to the pic? I did a View Page Source for the webpage, searched the code for the link to the pic, and copied it from there. Bit of a long process, but works.
  4. Best wishes for Piggy's speedy recovery! Hopefully she will enjoy the "back-to-new" feeling for a long time to come.
  5. My guess is improved fuel economy will mean lower power and/or smaller, boosted engines, possibly still decoupled from AWD.
  6. Need to gather some information first. SE/SEL/ ... ? Do you have Ford OEM remote start? If not, whose and how long? Keyless entry? When did you last replace the battery in the remote? How old is the battery in the Edge?
  7. Added some interesting/useful features for sure. Holding judgement till more is said on powertrain/cargo room. Functionality is #1 for me.
  8. 2013 Edge SE's come std with 17 x 7.5 in. wheels with P235/65R T tires. Tirerack winter tire ratings for light trucks: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=W&VT=LT There are a few options on that list, exact or very close fit to OEM.
  9. Aha! That trip. For everyone's reference.
  10. Outstanding vehicle! Welcome & congrats!
  11. The U.S. of A. sure does provide some scenic photo opps, Larry! BTW, I don't see the pic of your MPGs
  12. Which alternator did you go with? That's a pretty hefty one in your setup!
  13. Ya, Germans are VERY strict about their traffic rules. I remember one time the front bumper was JUST over the line at the light. BAM! Ticket, empty your wallet please. You really feel you get that much out of the K&N, Cellbine? And, this is on a stock tune, interesting.
  14. Very cool pix Your Edge fits in perfectly!
  15. Well, if there is a memory leak in the software, a hard boot (pulling the battery cable) would be very likely to help. Does so with microsoft-based PCs all the time. But yes, in that case, it would become a regular action item. I was thinking more along the lines of some ground or some continuity in the circuit having been affected during the swapover, giving false data to the computer. Assuming tire circumference is not an issue. Longer trips would suffer more in that case as the speed/distance calculation errors accumulate.
  16. Great fun reading about your trip, Mark. Good addition to the owner's knowledgebase too about the Edge's personality Hope the rest of your trip goes smoothly
  17. Great pics as always, Jared! So how come this particular oil/filter combo? Does it help during cold weather startup? I am considering shifting to 0W-20 as the temps drop below freezing around here.
  18. The engine bay gets SO cruddy if you don't wipe it down every few days! If I could, I'd install a cover too just to keep those gremlins out.
  19. Welcome & congrats! Basic tuneup items would include ... ? At the very least, at this mileage, the Edge should have new spark plugs, a drain&fill (if not flushed) of the transmission/coolant/brake fluid, etc. If rotors/pads need to be done, recommend going aftermarket, at least on the pads. Change the cabin filter out if it shows any signs of dirt (pretty easy to do). Watch out for any leaks from the PTU/axle seal, and keep an eye on your mpg's. How's that for starters? Oh, and please post pics if you will
  20. My Edge (non-MFT): changing time is easy. Making sure the clock stays in time, not so easy
  21. Snow tire size same as OEM? Could be an electronic gremlin/grounding issue caused by the swap from "regular" tires. A suggested solution on the F150 forums was to disconnect the negative battery cable and leave it that way for a while (I'd say 10 min +). Let the ECU relearn after the cable is hooked back up. Seems to work for them, could work for you. http://www.f150forum.com/f38/does-tire-size-affect-2013-navigation-192747/index17/
  22. Nicely executed, RadioBob! Thanks to mtbalser for lighting the way
  23. Those advert numbers seem quite on the high side for a vehicle this size. In the U.S., the rating is 19/27 for FWD SEL 3.5. Do you have the 2L EB FWD SEL version in Canada??? Plus, I think in Canada, they use imperial gallons, so the rating in the U.S. would be closer to 21/33. EDIT: I looked up Ford.ca for info on the 2013 Edge, this is what they show (attachment, page 10). Need to look into Transport Canada's ratings system to see how this was achieved. Seems plain WRONG. Is there an option to change your display from US gallons/mpg to Canadian gallons/mpg?
