  1. Welcome & congrats! Plenty to read & do on this forum, and look forward to your participation
  2. These are a bunch of codes related to brakes/steering/transmission wiring/sensor inputs. So I would concur that compromised wiring should be checked for first.
  3. If there is a "hiccup" or a "bump" involved, then one of the TSB's (albeit for previous years) might apply. Something like TSB 13-3-18 or 11-5-6.
  4. HTH. FWD AWD Installation All vehicles Install the wheel bearing and new wheel hub bolts. Tighten to 133 Nm (98 lb-ft). Position the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly and install the 2 bolts. To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft). Install the brake disc.AWD vehicles Using a suitable installation tool, install the halfshaft into the wheel bearing and wheel hub.Install the halfshaft hub nut. Tighten to 275 Nm (203 lb-ft). And a reference for hub/bearing replacement: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/8329-07-sel-plus-awd-rear-bearinghub-replacement/
  5. FWD or AWD? Check transmission fluid level, check underneath for any leaks (e.g., PTU seal/axle), and finally (if all checks out OK), see if you can get a PCM update for your Edge.
  6. Check the ignition key/switch. That, on older models at least, has been known to cause the incessant chiming. Car thinks the key is still in ignition at that point.
  7. Please provide information about your Edge so we can pull up the relevant information. Also, owner manuals can be found at motorcraftservice.com . Probably need an inline resistor for the switchbacks to resolve the fast flash problem. EDIT: based on akirby's post: https://www.motorcraftservice.com
  8. I know it would save one many near collisions in parking lots. Some people drive through them like they are highways.
  9. Welcome & congrats! Nice looking Edge, BTW. Definitely will find plenty of knowledge & helpful folks on this site, and look forward to your participation as well
  10. Cool! Good luck, & keep us updated
  11. At least having a hefty portion of greens won't push you over into diabetes, hypertension, obesity etc. Most other foods come with their own issues. Even if you maintain the rest of your diet, simply increasing the intake of greens will have a very beneficial all-round effect. Remember, chlorophyll and hemoglobin are only different in the element bound to them. Chlorophyll has magnesium, and hemoglobin has iron. Remember when you used to hear about athletes getting blood infusions to up their performance?
  12. Did you talk to Ford directly? Nobody should have to go through this kind of experience. If a manufacturer is selling equipment in a given region with known challenges, it should take responsibility for protecting said equipment from those challenges prior to sale. In this day and age, 3-4 year lifespan is a joke. Not like a fender rotting away. This is a serious safety issue. Almost as bad/laughable as the NBC exploding gas tank special. A slap in the face considering that the Edge is built in Canada!!! BTW, ExtraCare & PremiumCare supposedly cover the Fuel Tank & Lines.
  13. CarPro makes good stuff for sure. Glad it worked in your environmental conditions.
  14. Unfortunately, I do not have the part number.
  15. That diagram is for a Sport, don't you have a Limited? 88 bucks for the lower cover. $102 shipped. Levittown website.
  16. I think there has been one instance on this forum involving a water pump. I'd categorize it as a highly unlikely event as long as you follow maintenance schedules for the cooling system.
  17. Has SD been seeing prolonged humidity levels? Unless there is a kink in the drainage hose, puzzling why you'd need this service so soon. Anyways, good luck.
  18. Either the battery is leaking, or the terminals need to be replaced. My best guess at this point. Could be a bad ground, but I don't think so.
  19. Welcome aboard, Todd! I am sure many, many questions are eagerly awaiting being asked There are a few long-running concerns with the Edge in general, as you may have picked up while browsing this forum. I know you said older/high-mileage vehicles probably not your "forte", but still I would like to put these issues out there: 1. PTU seal leaks 2. PTU fluid exchange interval 3. Electronic Throttle Body Failure 4. Door Latch/Switch Failure 5. ECM burning up ignition coils to name a few. These are an ongoing source of frustration among us Edge owners. While we generally love our vehicles, attention paid by Ford to these commonly occurring issues would be quite welcome.
