  1. jfoster, you may be lookng at a Throttle Body failure. Follow up with the dealer, and if necessary Ford Customer Service. Todd from Ford is on here to assist as well. Mooney, when the warning lights come on in the driveway, do they go away when you completey turn the Edge off, then turn it back on? Any other driveability problems? Could be in need of a PCM update and/or a TB replacement if a PCM update does not fix the issue.
  2. Try this: http://s446.photobucket.com/user/RocketNJ/library/Edge%20AppRadio%203%20install?sort=3&page=1
  3. Welcome, and what a pair of beauts! Nice to see another longtime owner on here Kept 'em stock, or done any mods?
  4. Welcome to the forum, & congrats on your Edge! Can you give us a fuller description of what you are experiencing? Did you just have a battery replaced also?
  5. Not even gonna ask what you were doing with all that metal
  6. Oh man, glad you guys are OK! So sorry to hear about this incident. Was it a big rock or ...? A very, very good thing to know for the BAMR owners out there. I remember once when out on WV highways, a huge piece of asphalt (large fist-sized) came flying at me at highway speeds, but luckily only mildly cracked the windshield and skipped over the car. Not fun. IMHO, "glass" seems to be much more fragile now than in years past.
  7. KM to empty or miles to empty is based on the last calculated KMPGs or MPGs before fillup. At least, that is the way it is supposed to work. Out of curiousity, have you used the same gas station all this time, or do you frequently change gas stations? Are they busy gas stations? If so, the fuel tanks should get good turnover. Ethanol in your fuel, or pure gasoline? I had read before on this forum that purging the fuel vent lines (not sure how exactly it was done) has helped resolve this problem.
  8. So far, no one has complained of HIDs (even at 55W) melting their housings, stock lights are 55W (hi's are 65W). Should be fine. Normally, would not need a harness with at 35W kit, a few exceptions do apply due to some variability in the Edge's electrical systems. I'd order harnesses if you are pressed for time to begin with, otherwise wait and see. Do allow for other other faulty componentry including bulbs/ballasts. Patience. May even want to order double the kits to have replacements on hand, tho that is no guarantee. Foglights are H11.
  9. EBay/Junkyards would be best bet for lower cost. Or you could get a textured (non-painted) version for less apparently (on Ford's parts site) 17D957B Front Bumper Cover Ford Series Less ST Version ; Black, Lower, Textured Finish $190.20 Select a dealer for prices & availability * +Add To Cart 17D957B Front Bumper Cover Ford Series ST Version ; Black, Lower, Textured Finish $190.20 Select a dealer for prices & availability * +Add To Cart 17D957B Front Bumper Cover Ford Series ST Version ; Paint to Match $1,535.85 Select a dealer for prices & availability
  10. I don't know if you are intentionally doubleposting, but I hope not A member has replied to your question in your other thread for this part: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14198-edge-sport-lower-valence/?do=findComment&comment=109807
  11. Basic procedure starts on pg 72 of the owner's manual. If this does not fix it, take it to the dealer, as the headlights themselves may need to be replaced. Do you know if the Edge was in any accidents? 12edgog1e.pdf
  12. Welcome to the community, and congrats on your '13 Edge, Todd! It is a nice package for sure. Post some pics, esp. of galavanting in the snow
  13. Ratcheting sound, you mean? Possibly a halfshaft/drive axle. At least on the older Edges, there were TSBs out for similar issues (07-11-14 and 07-25-8). Any recent brake work?
  14. Are you sure it's pushed in all the way? Tightening the screws is not enough. It should "pop" into place when you push on the edges of the light (use the palms of your hands to do so), and stay there. "An audible click should be heard when the rear lamp assembly is fully seated to the quarter panel."
  15. Welcome & congrats on your new ride! What year/color is your Edge? You do save a bit in mpg over 4WD, since the AWD is FWD most of the time. Pics
  16. Sad to hear this story, hopefully an isolated case. There are other vendors besides TRS and DDM that folks have been happy with, one of them being HIDextra.com. A full installation writeup can be found here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13572-my-hid-upgrade-with-close-to-factory-lookoperation-for-80/
  17. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your MKX purchase! Post some more details on your new ride please
  18. Glad you got it figured out, sad to hear about the high cost of the fix. Hope the Edge stays happy for a looooooong time!
  19. LOL! That's why I have decided on hand cranked windows for my next multidriver vehicle
  20. I like the styling way better than the Escape's. Break some sales records, MKC!
  21. Very nice, congratz! Deciding exactly what height to put the moldings on was the toughest part for me. Have saved my doors from some dings for sure.
  22. I would find it easiest to blame the multifunction switch and test it anyway, since you say you have tested everything else. Maybe the contacts are corroded, or possibly shorted. The circuit is being interrupted at the MFS.
  23. I don't know, but sounds like the ducts are blocked, either with debris or the foam that lines them. I have heard of these foam pieces getting dislodged before. From the manual: Low engine coolant level Engine overheating Plugged or partially plugged heater core Temperature blend door is binding or stuck Temperature blend door actuator Heater hose is kinked or binding
