  1. Welcome to the community, Tom! What color is the Edge?
  2. Awesome! Your persistence has been justly rewarded.
  3. Nice to be able to talk/hear yourself at highway speeds, Cellbine! jmacd27, did you find 915 easier/same/more difficult to work with than 845, what prompted you to switch? Don't look at the paint in direct sunlight if you hate swirls!
  4. Welcome, Simplex! Sorry to hear about your '12, and glad everyone is a-ok. I am sure the '14 will serve you will in its' stead
  5. Welcome to the forum, cnyle, and congrats on your Edge You do realize that washing & waxing your car these days is the equivalent of a raindance? Look forward to the pix, and your further experiences!
  6. Sorry it did not work out, Swatman. I guess the logic is the same as "oh an air filter could affect emissions, but it is a regular maintenance item, we'd have to charge for it". Normally, hardware is warrantied and not software. I HAD hoped that since this has a direct effect on the emissions system, that Ford &/or the dealership would step up.
  7. Unfortunately, they don't make it easy to service the transmission (or the fuel filter) in the Edge. Other than filling/draining the trans, you pretty much have to crack it open to do major work OR replace the trans filter. HOWEVER, the transmission has been quite reliable, though I don't know if I'd wait till 150,000 miles to change the fluid. Better to check at every OCI.
  8. Welcome to the community! Are you looking at a FWD or an AWD? If AWD, the additional item to look out for is PTU-related, specifically the PTU/axle seal leak and burnt out PTU fluid. Would advise PTU fluid change at that mileage. Other things specific to the Edge: Battery Door latch (usually front driver side) Panoramic sun roof - may stop working; it it is slow to operate, needs to be maintenanced PCM - calibration up to date Brakes - brake pedal If you can get a CPO, so much the better, just so you have time to figure everything out.
  9. Looks like the SPORT version is equipped with true duals, the remaining trim levels get the "quasi" duals.
  10. True duals? Got any more info on this? If anyone on the forum has one of these OEM true duals, please post some pics/audio files/etc. TIA.
  11. Want to add rear seat video entertainment? Already have a smartphone or tablet? This solution might be for you (thanks, pjsockett!): http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14531-ultimate-rear-dvd-alternative/
  12. A very cost effective DIY solution for today's on-the-go families & friends. Well done.
  13. I think it just means check the hub mounting surface, as you have already done.
  14. Not just the socket, but the wiring as well. Though the fuses are same in capacity (20A on my '07), the wiring seems to be inadequate for full loads. A good explanation can be found here: http://www.f150online.com/forums/2789415-post2.html
  15. Quite a bit of work there, Cellbine! I am anticipating a flood of interest in a HOW-TO with part numbers for this mod
  16. As long as there are no errors in Capacities & Specifications
  17. If you are a fanatic about getting metal contaminants out of your paint/wheels, you can precede the claybar with Iron-X or a similar product.
  18. Welcome! I do see Edges of both generations out and about a lot more this year. Served us well over the past winter About to become handy again with all the hauling for garden work/materials!
  19. Might have better luck comparing with the Fusion, since the Edge is based on that platform.
  20. Could be. I don't think tire position (think rotation) would make a difference. A sensor could actually have gone bad, but since you are not seeing any driveability issues/other notifications, that does not seem to be the case.
  21. Don't know for sure, but mine triggered around 28 psi.
  22. Welcome, Tricia, and congrats on your first official post
