Wow! Replacing the entire set? Fingers crossed, Prinzll ...

Hmm. So if there is enough light outside (according to the dash sensor) for whatever reason, the high beams won't stay on? But this should only be in the AUTO position, right, in which case the lights won't come on at all?

Sam I Am. Fighting with Siri, maybe?

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

Hate to have body work done, too many things to watch out for! The Terra Grapplers work well on the F150s also, it seems. Keep us updated on how they perform ... traction, mpg, etc. And post pics after the Edge is looking buff again -
AFAIK, there is no fog detection capability ... yet. Rain-sensing wipers, yes. But fog lights in a fog ... no. But could certainly be linked to AUTO vs HEADLIGHT positions of the switch, though on mine (albeit a 2007), never been a problem.

Don't know about MFT, but according to the manual re the trip computer, you get Miles to E, Fuel Used, and Average Fuel info. So you could calculate the Fuel Remaining.
-
Good luck and hope they get the switch issue fixed right up!
-
Following the instructions on pg 91 of the owner's manual right? Should be just like omar302 says. If you push the stalk away from you enough to hear/feel the click of it engaging, the high beams should come on and stay on.
-
Have you noticed any difference in your MPGs since then, Feirstein?
-
I think you are simply too close to Area 51 to give us anything accurate, electronically speaking! Just the other day, my display showed 6 miles to empty. But I was only able to squeeze in 18.1 gallons of fuel. What gives???

Ford has it now, so hoping for the best!

Any chance on getting a clearer pic of the label on that line on the left? If we can get the part #, it'd be a slam dunk to confirm the hose. If the other end of the hose ends at the transmission, we know it's a transmission line. If it clips onto the subframe and goes further, it's a power steering line. At least that what the diagram in the service manual for my '07 is telling me.

The only other thing I can think of is a PAG oil leak from the AC line seals failing. I don't know enough about this, but I do believe the oil circulates with the refrigerant. So check the lines at the condensor (mounted to the radiator). If this is the problem, the oil level should be low in the compressor and will cause compressor failure over time. http://www.aa1car.com/library/2004/us50414.htm

I guess shock therapy has its' limit even in circuitry! Hope they get it fixed right this time, Jim_V. Keep us updated. -

You've been busy! Lot of work on the tires, I see I need to get cracking on the Fumoto and Dr CC kits as well. A BG service (throttle body/induction/fuel) is in the works as well. -
What trim level on your 2013? Oily residue in that area, IF it is from YOUR car, would be from the transmission fluid, or engine oil from the respective cooling lines. Wipe it with a white napkin to get a good judging of color. If it is pinkish/reddish, it would be transmission fluid. If more golden, then engine oil. Do you have the tow package? BTW, how's the ticking noise? Did it resolve?

Welcome to the community, and congrats on your Edge! Hope this thread will get you off to a good start: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12565-how-tos-powertrain-electronics-body-more/?view=findpost&p=97106 and search is always your friend. A few members have added fog lights to the grille portion of the lower bumper, a couple have added LED light bars, and many have upgraded the factory "fogs" to high intensity lighting from DayTimeBriteLights (DTBL). Do you have the window sticker for your Edge? That will tell you what kind of lighting you have.

I usually presoak the non-windowed surfaces of the Edge right before taking it to a touchless wash. Not too much product though, don't want to make it challenging to get off. This helps loosen the dirt & stuff much quicker, get a bit more bang for your buck if you will.

At a local shop: Oil change (Motorcraft oil/filter), transmission drain & fill (3 times, per the procedure outlined by thirdgenlxi), swapped out current brakes with the PowerStop F&R kit and brake system flushed. So far, so good. -
I second that, wholeheartedly. The only bad part is, I feel like I am driving slow, then I glance at the speedometer
