  1. I think it is stuck on with adhesive, so working it with a hair dryer/heat gun and fishing line/dental floss should work.
  2. No known problems really with disconnecting the battery. But the PCM will have to relearn your driving habits/parameters, so you should follow the relearn/retrain process in the OM (pg 331 I believe). Pg 330 also has some good info on battery maintenance.
  3. Do you have 35w HIDs or 55w? Self-built capacitors or bought from a vendor? If you have the 55w set, you should put the harness and take power directly from the battery. Unless you want to put each headlight on its' own fuse. OEM HID equipped Edges have separate fuses.
  4. Hate dropping the hood like an anchor to close it? Here's a brief pictorial to help adjust the latch (thanks, wisdomsp!): http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13154-adjusting-hood-latch-on-13-edge/?do=findComment&comment=114453 Caution: May only be for '11+ Edges.
  5. If you are sure the strut/mount is seated properly and the bushings on the stabilizer endlink look ok, then go on and check the bushings on the control arm. A bad bushing could cause the control arm to contact the frame.
  6. If you do need to polish the wheels, that is, get rid of scratches and swirls, at this stage of the game, you could get away with a finishing polish like Meguiar's 205 and a 3" polishing disc on a dual action polisher. But if you are looking to wax the wheels to keep them clean, you can use any high-quality durable wax or coating. Collinite 845 is a perennial favorite (warm up the product and apply thinly), or maybe something like Meguiar's Ultimate wax. Choices are quite wide, if you want to, look up reviews on Amazon or Autogeek etc. and see what fits your expectations. If you want to go a step further to the pro level, you can put on a coating like Opticoat, CQuartz Finest, etc. Pull the wheels to do the work if you want them looking good & clean through and through. Though I think you can get pretty good coverage for waxing/sealing the entire wheel by hand. Polishing is another matter. Make sense, or did I confuse you?
  7. Hopefully they have the problem of the pwr liftgate addressed in the 2015, if it indeed comes with a) 2 struts, and has the foot/wave activation feature like the Escape.
  8. Original battery? could be time to replace (2-3 yrs is avg nowadays, and with the past winter, ...). Depending on how much HID usage you see, the capacitors may have pushed the current battery over the E... Check to see if all cables are tightly attached and corrosion free. Are you leaving anything plugged into the cabin power points that could cause a drain?
  9. Should be fine! It is very mild detergent, good for regular cleaning of dusty/muddy wheels (not those with stuck on road tar/brake dust etc.). More important that you use good microfiber cloths or wheel woolies for scrubbing/wiping purposes to avoid scratching the wheels.
  10. I see you've got the little one set up for meet 'n greet Good luck with the moving process!
  11. Wow, sorry to hear that! What engine/trim level do you have, Jules? Don't know if the throttle body issue affects any engine other than the 3.5L.
  12. You could try a Master Reset (lose all stored data) as shown: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/OwnerVideoPage&year=2013&make=Ford&model=Edge
  13. Sounds like the compressor may have bit the dust due to a refrigerant/oil leak. Taking the Edge to a qualified mechanic would be the right thing to do.
  14. Welcome welcome! Sounds like you got a great deal, good for you So how did you pick the Edge over the competition?
  15. This may help you with the PTU's most frequent problem area: TSB 09-25-7 (an older version here: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMOTOR/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=143861) Maybe this also, though this is for the 2010: TSB 11-4-20 (http://revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=176591) Your calipers might be sticking. Were they serviced/greased when the pads were replaced?
  16. Wanna fix that annoying DOOR AJAR warning once and for all? 12Edge shows you how it's done: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14262-how-to-replace-door-latch-module-for-door-ajar-warning/
  17. There is a How To on how to do the replacement yourself. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14262-how-to-replace-door-latch-module-for-door-ajar-warning/
  18. Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your '14 Edge! Post some pics please
