  1. Should work fine. The socket is a T20, rated for a 3357/3457, which basically has a bit more wattage handling capacity than a 3157. If it does not light up, try flipping the bulb (could be polarity sensitive).
  2. Remind yourself ... and move forward anyway! Cautiously though
  3. I'm sure we wouldn't mind your documenting whatever road you decide to go down on
  4. Welcome to the community, Silverglide, and congrats on your Edge! AWD/FWD? Post some pix of your rides Hope you enjoy the Edge at least as much as the Fusion!
  5. Looks like a problem recognizing the key fob. Interested in what you find out.
  6. With the new turn bulbs, you now have an EcoEdge! Nice shade of green at least Still on OEM wheel/tire right? Are the roads in NE very challenging? As long as sufficient tire sidewall is available, I'd think that lowering with H&R should be fine. May have to get an alignment afterwards tho.
  7. Hey Jared! Great to see ya on here again Mostly this combo is quiet. Under hard braking, you can hear the pads passing over the slots, not nearly loud enough to bother me. Braking power is much improved, surprising to me since the Z16s are ceramic-based. Dusting I am not yet sure (only 800 miles on them though). This silver color on the wheels is pretty good at hiding dust! /
  8. Pix or it didn't happen Is the kit still easily available for the Edge?
  9. I know it's too late for this occasion, but some people raise their insurance rates on glass coverage to minimize the deductible. If your windshield cracks for instance, a minimum cost of $300 is expected for OEM-like quality, probably much more for actual OEM glass.
  10. You are a brave man! I have a hard time ordering stuff What would I do with bulbs I don't like, though? I'm pretty lazy when it comes to returns! The switchbacks are pretty nice!
  11. Duct tape would probably work better than masking tape, but may be too thick. I am thinking the window are not working correctly (motor/regulator), so it is slamming into position when fully open or closed.
  12. You were in the right place T10 is basically the generic name for the socket the 921 bulb uses. So any T10 based bulb should work instead of the 921, provided of course, that the physical dimensions don't exceed the capacity of the bulb opening/holder. My Edge's 921 socket is OEM i think, and it holds on to the OEM bulb pretty tightly. I have tried multiple LED products in that socket, and as to whether the bulb you buy is a little loose in the socket, that will vary. The current ones fit pretty well.
  13. Hope all will stay good now, jetcycles! Good luck!
  14. One of the reasons Ford limited HP/TQ numbers on the Gen IV/V Taurus SHO was due to insurance rate classification. Over 400 and it would have been in a "sport" category. They wanted to market the SHO as a family car. Info straight from insiders. If 2.3L is breaking 300, a 2.7L could come close to 400. Easy. Hence my suggestion.
  15. Might keep the numbers down for insurance reasons, depending on which models receive the 2.7.
  16. This may help: http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/Ford-Edge-Door-Panel-Removal-Speaker-Replacement-Guide/index.html Even the 2007 manual says it's pretty straightforward: Removal and Installation All vehicles Remove the front door handle bezel. Remove the screw cover. Remove the screw. Remove the front door handle bezel. Disconnect the electrical connectors, if equipped.
  17. i think that feature has not been turned on. I have had to stuff all my pics in a single album.
  18. Ford/Motorcraft pads or aftermarket? Unfortunately, the Ford/Motorcraft pads can contribute to brake noisiness even if all else is seemingly well.
  19. Any equipment left plugged into the power points? Any new electronics (lighting/audio/security etc) installed? Parked outside, or in the garage (thinking heat related)? Any troubles with the CD player skipping etc.? When was the Edge manufactured? If early on in 2012, could indeed be a failing battery, as you have espoused.
  20. You can check for yourself: http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-calculator/ Revs/mile differences are what you are looking for, within a couple of % is fine. That's how much your speedometer/odometer will be off by compared to OEM.
