  1. I'd keep pursuing with Ford Customer Service and ask for a different rep or their manager this time. Try a different dealer, maybe a friend can refer you to a good one. Dealers can also make things happen when customers cannot. If that doesn't work out, consult an attorney to see what options you have. Not sure the lemon law would apply?
  2. The number listed in the manual is the only one I know of. 1-800-392-3673 (FORD) (TDD for the hearing impaired: 1-800-232-5952) I believe this is the Lincoln phone number: 1-800-387-9333 Their address/website points to CA, though, don't know if there is a USA number. The closest Lincoln dealership I could find is http://www.genemesserlincoln.com A well-rated one is Sewell Ford/Lincoln/VW unfortunately 250+ miles away in Odessa.
  3. Note they only cycle the affected door latch switch, not replace it. Ask them what warranty goes with the TSB, coz if it happens after warranty expiration, you might be paying for it. Or you could replace it yourself using the HowTo info on this forum.
  4. Good questions! What kind of driving have you done/do you do (city, highway, etc.)? Does it fit under normal or severe duty conditions? I would look up the mfr recommended service intervals accordingly. If you are concerned enough to have a trans flush done, I'd say that you are a prime candidate for 2 oldies but goldies: 1. air filter and 2. spark plugs. The Motorcraft parts are just fine, no need to look to aftermarket. After every oil change, dump in a bottle of Techron Fuel Injector cleaner into the fuel tank prior to fillup. This will help loosen deposits that don't get removed by additives in the gas you normally pump in. The MAF may also be a candidate for cleaning with MAF Sensor Cleaner (not carb cleaner or brake cleaner). Also make sure your PCM/TCM (engine/trans computer) calibrations are up-to-date. That can make a significant difference as well. I am seeing a lot of problems lately caused not so much by core hardware as by computers/faulty sensors, out-of-date software versions, etc. HTH.
  5. Must have racked up some mileage by now! Here's a thread you can post into if you want, to keep us in touch with your experiences with the Edge: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10720-highest-mileage/
  6. You can clean the plastic screen if that is what you have. Good ol' dawn and a gentle sponge, air dry. If you have the pleated filter, replace it.
  7. Are you talking about the lens that fits right over the bulb? Never heard of it coming loose before. You might try contacting one of the headlight modification specialists for help/information. The 1 we use on this forum most often is https://www.facebook.com/DynamikiLLu51ons HTH.
  8. Maddening problem! If the TSB was performed while the Edge was under the B2B warranty, I don't think you get a "normal" warranty to go with the service. However, if you actually PAY for the service, then a warranty (2 years?) applies. Hopefully they did clean off any rust and use the newest bead sealant on the wheels. New tires may indeed help resolve the issue. Not nice of the dealer to renege on their word. You can A. go to another dealer, explain the history and try your luck, and/or B. call up Ford National Customer Service to assist/mediate. You could also find a Lincoln dealer or call Lincoln Customer Service instead. Some people have had better luck going that route. But I'd try the Ford lines first. We also have a Ford rep on our forum, Tricia. You can try PM'ing her for help. Very nice quality, video, BTW, interesting watch. Who really knows what techs do with our vehicles once we leave them at the shop, right?
  9. Call the dealer, I am sure they can get replacement tags pronto!
  10. Just found the TSB 14-0011. You be the judge of its' usefulness. TSB 14-0011 DOOR AJAR LAMP REMAINS ILLUMINATED WITH DOORS CLOSED 2011-13 Edge_MKX.pdf
  11. Welcome to the forum, & congrats on your new Edge. I have an '07 so probably not comparable. But whatever little extra stuff I do carry, I put it in the center console. Not very organized, but it works for me.
  12. Use this guide to get the front door panel off: http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/Ford-Edge-Door-Panel-Removal-Speaker-Replacement-Guide/index.html Then, according to the manual (supplied pics are too small to be useful IMHO): Interior Door HandleRemoval and Installation Remove the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-05 . NOTE: Front door shown, rear door similar. Disconnect the interior door handle from the door window regulator and motor assembly. NOTE: Front door shown, rear door similar. Remove the interior door handle. Disconnect the interior door handle actuating cable from the interior door handle. Remove the interior door handle. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  13. How do you rate the system's ease of use? Hopefully will take less time next time since you clay-bar'd it this time around. Pix by any chance?
  14. Man, sorry to hear about the troubles you are experiencing! Not sure on the A/C issue (may just be low on refrigerant?), but sounds like you need a rear wheel bearing and a new battery. Dying/bad batteries can cause all kinds of electrical problems. I bet a new battery would take care of the MFT issues as well. What headlamp issue are/were you having? Did you get it resolved? No extended warranty?
  15. I have heard of rocks cracking windhields on the Taurus pretty easily, so i am guessing same problem with the Edge. Did they install OEM glass or OEM-quality glass the first time?
  16. Discussion being continued here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/15048-plenty-of-talk-about-leds-resistors-but/
  17. Post a pic please of the problem area so we can get a better idea of what may be happening.
  18. May be the rotors and pads settling back into a comfortable "groove".
  19. The 6 ohm 50w resistors offered by the seller should be just fine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230666881433 One for the left, one for the right side. These are the wire taps are shown in the seller listing. for tail/brake/turn. What are the wire colors on your turn signals?: Do a search for resistors people have used. I am pretty sure you can get guidance there. Can't recall right now if BlackEdition's posts have that info in them or not, but there should be others ...
  20. Are you talking about the one of the bearings in the driveshaft? If you are not noticing any driveability problems or noises, I'd clean it off first and see if you notice it leaking "again". Hopefully it just picked up some c*** from the road that stayed stuck on there. There are 3 different bearings listed in the Ford parts website. Since you have a '13 with low mileage, I'd go to another dealer or trusted mechanic to have it checked out.
  21. If you simply want higher output halogen bulbs, Osram Night Breaker Plus will work. Do you know what bulb type you are currently running? 9005/9006/etc. Should be stamped on the base of the bulb. There is an HID install video that can help you out:
  22. Did you make the changes on-car or off? AWD looks good dipped. Might even want to take it off completely.
