Do you know if it was a BCM (Body Control Module) code by any chance? Have sometimes heard of that happening.

TSBs do not have implied warranties. Must be explicitly stated on the TSB that it is covered by Ford. If you have a Ford warranty and the components in the TSB are covered, the total cost - any deductibles are covered. As far as dealer inspection fee, that is incumbent on the dealer; some charge, some don't. They will want to replicate the symptoms mentioned in the TSB first. If they have a great relationship with you, they may work with you anyway.

A damp microfiber will usually get the fingerprints right off. Also consider a screen protector. I hear Nushield or Lexerd are good brands to get.

x2 on brake booster. More common problem with 11+ MYs.

Lots of mysterious things in plain sight once interior panels are removed

If at the very least, active grille shutters and heat retention systems were an available option, combustion engines & their mpg/emissions would benefit greatly.

Getting the '07 Edge Nav System to display speed?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to eyemhere's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
Welcome to you & your Edge! Probably better off with an external unit, and if you are interested in knowing more about your engine function, in addition to mph/rpm/etc, consider a bluetooth adapter on the OBD port with an Android phone/tablet running Torque Pro.- 4 replies

I usually get 25 mpg at about 65 mph cruising. Unfortunately, mpg does seem to drop non-linearly the faster you go. Could be aerodynamics, could be engine efficiency zones.
-
Problem solved. Gotta love it!

Not warming up, so running rich basically, and resulting in lower than expected mpg. An electric/hybrid powertrain would serve better here, or a specialized heat retaining setup for the cooling system post shutdown.

This is from the Chilton's manual for a 2011: Wiper Blade and Pivot Arm Adjustment — Windshield Cycle and park the windshield wipers. Verify the RH and LH windshield wiper blades are located at the alignment marks on the glass. NOTE: Make sure there is no mechanical binding in the linkage preventing the wiper arms from returning to the fully parked position. If necessary, remove the windshield wiper pivot arm nuts and the windshield wiper pivot arms and reposition them to the correct locations. To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Cargo boxes kinda like truck saddle boxes? -
Unfortunately Ford doesn't make a higher-capacity ToughMax for our battery size like they do for say the SHO's. But other than that, get it installed at the dealer if you want the looooooooooong warranty!

Wow, properly attired for the Edge
-
I'd just Plastidip it. No idea on how to remove, but best guess would be to remove the interior trim panel on the liftgate and unbolt the trim from that side.
-
Agreed on battery replacement theory.

Welcome to our little corner of paradise, CC! Sounds like you've netted a great ride There's certainly a learning curve with these newer vehicles & built-in tech. First, you can't live with, then you can't live without ... Post some pix when you can, please and keep us updated with your adventures/mods you have in mind. Enjoy!

A. Still breaking in. B. How much stop-n-go? C. Tried different gas brands/stations (go to high-volume ones whenever possible)? D. Reset mpg meter between fillups? E. Check the oil, change oil/filter? F. HVAC completely off when driving?

If weather gets bad, and you can afford the $ and space for a separate winter setup, by all means do so! Tire diameter may be limited though, at least on TireRack I have not seen > 19" (?) offered. And you may save on a wheel/tire package as well. Overall tire/wheel height should be the same as your non-winter setup or your speedometer/odometer will be off.
