Welcome, John. What vehicle are you referring to, and can you provide pics of the damaged area/vents? Do you have automatic climate control or manual?

This was the only one I could get my hands on, aside from the OM (as akirby mentioned), for 2007 Ford vehicles. If you look up the free online Chilton's manuals (via the INFOTRAC url), you can get to maintenance schedules for your specific vehicle, which are basically from the OM. 2007 Ford Edge Maintenance Schedule.pdf

Noise from dash area
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to EspoMan's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Probably wiring/connector that needs to be ziptied away from the plastic panels. -
Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the '13 SEL! Hope this Edge will treat you well in your 3-year cycle Color, AWD/FWD? See when it was produced, here: http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do If you notice any electrical gremlins, could be battery related, esp if the Edge was basically sitting on the lot for a while.

Trying Lysol to kill stink before the stink kills me
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to normcloutier's topic in Lounge
Norm, you can find BG servicing locations through this website: http://www.bgfindashop.com/locator/index.php If you decide to get it done, have them blow out the drain anyway (air compressor?), can't hurt. -
Dash dulling- how to?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Tom in TN's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
In addition to 303, maybe a dash mat, maybe VHT Nightshade or plastic paint for a more permanent solution. -

Welcome to the forum, scoutchris, and congrats on acquiring the 2010 SEL! You could always plastidip the existing wheels, but don't know how well that would stick. What wheels have you looked at so far? Pix of your Edge?

Welcome to the forum, tobyguy! How long have you had your Edge, and what has been your experience with it? There is a How-To thread for various things to do with the Edge, but by no means is it all-encompassing. Would love to see pix of your ride

There is some possibility of this being caused by the timing chain, as experienced by Gen IV SHO owners.

Hazard button doesn't work?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to wes8398's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Fuses 13 & 14 in the passenger compartment panel are for the right/left stop lamps & turn signals. Might work with 1 blown fuse, but not if both are blown. Consumer Reports 10 vehicles to avoid
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Depiry's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
So they are saying MFT sucks compared to Siri At least we can say "MFT is superior technology that allows drivers to concentrate on the road ahead". -
Welcome, and glad the dealer is servicing the PTU seal leak. BTW, Ford claims lifetime for the PTU fluid (i.e., no need to change), so can't blame owners for not thinking about it like a regular maintenance item. Should they not trust the mfr? Oh by the way, don't immerse the PTU in water either coz then you have to replace the PTU. As a fix, Ford provides a vent replacement that runs up into the engine compartment. Hmm, should have been like that from factory? Sorry, designs are not flawless. The consumer has a right to have their complaints addressed.

Welcome, Rich, and congrats on your soon-to-arrive Edge! What engine do you have in there? A custom tune (e.g., Unleashed Tuning/Torrie) will likely net you the most gains in performance/fuel economy. Catbacks may still be available from Magnaflow & Gibson. Check with CD3Performance on this site, or on their website. K&N CAI may or may not help. If you had a 3.7, you would've had the option of a different throttle body also. H&R Suspension Springs are another option (air suspension if you really want flexibility).

This is a writeup I found via Google here. But assume anything connected to traction control that is providing faulty or missing data would pop the light. That would include brakes, wheel speed sensors, transmission sensors (TSS/OSS), etc. As the writeup explains, there might be a brake booster sensor (if active) or the ABS module (if booster is electrically actuated) kicking it off in this specific instance. BTW, the master cylinder can bleed into the brake booster due to a damaged seal. Check your brake fluid for level & clarity.

Bull bar with auxilliary lighting
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to scottk's topic in Accessories & Modifications
At least one user on this forum has installed an LED light bar (lower grille?), and it definitely lights up the pix. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12151-led-light-bar-install/ -
The Samsung S4 is a bargain, but don't know if better than your Nexus Galaxy. Low to no entry cost with carriers as of a couple of months ago.

Same TSBs apply, these are the latest iterations. 2007-2010 are same generation anyway. Wouldn't hesitate to take a copy of the TSB to the service writer as long as the problem description is a close fit.

PTU leaking after axle replacement
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to iamovertheedge2's topic in 2007 Edge & MKX
Sounds like the motherlode right there! Ugh. Don't know how you can prove damage during installation, but you can certainly call upon Ford Customer Service (Todd/Tricia) to help you out. Certainly seems from the timing of events that you have a plausible case. -
Sorry to hear about the problems, possible that the trans is starting out in a higher gear from stop (there is a TSB related to that). That would be a Transmission Range sensor going bad. Codes can be read with an OBDII reader, and major auto parts stores should be able to read them for you for free.
