  1. I'd put a relay/harness on the bulbs and run it directly to battery. The Edge's electrical system does have a mind of its' own. Possible that a reset of the BCM would also fix the issue, but don't know for sure.
  2. Sorry to hear, nc_edge! Is the battery pretty new? If it is more than 2-3 years old, it should be replaced. That's where I would start. These random problems start at the battery most times, especially with cooler weather moving in. If that that doesn't fix it, we can look at other possibilities. Please provide update on service history, mileage, etc.
  3. If you made the entire factory manual available for free/sale, that might be a problem. I think you are ok as is, chipworkz
  4. One of the DIY skills all us owners should acquire: removing the front end clip & fender liners. Seems to give access to a LOT of internals.
  5. Tirerack.com will point you in the right direction as far as wheels/tires for winter. I don't change the setup for the winter, running OEM 18" wheels with Nitto tires. Works fine for me, but then we don't experience deep winters here (usually).
  6. Congrats & welcome! Put up some pix of your new P&J
  7. Aw phooey! Hope they repaint the entire panels, and properly.
  8. Sorry to hear about the scratches, that's gotta hurt! I think I will follow suit with the dielectric grease the next time I get to pop 'em suckers off
  9. Welcome & congrats! Do put up an intro in the New Member section
  10. If it is a two tone like you have pictured, and one of the colors matches your paint color, that would look pretty good! Otherwise, as an accent color, probably just OK or even odd as omar said. But remember it IS your choice first & foremost.
  11. If you get the MKT, get the EcoBoost engine, tune it and beat the crap out of some tuned WRX's J/K!
  12. Congrats! Awesome to have another Edge rolling down the road in style
  13. I know of one person that has a transplant project in the works (SHO -> Edge). Has been taking some time because the engine is being upgraded at the same time. No idea on completion date. Then there is the issue of the drivetrain. I assume we'd have to get the whole kit & kaboodle (engine/drivetrain/electronics) transplanted. The 6F55 has been pretty stout, noone's really tested the 6F50 transmission.
  14. I thought they just send them to the crusher straight away.
  15. Yes, just a teensy weensy bit Oil is now given far greater importance than ever, and that is a good thing!
  16. Looking forward to a report of success! Did they say where the coolant leak was?
  17. Please send your info to FordService via PM as advised in post #3. Hope they can help you out!
  18. Wow, that is quite the brushoff! Either they never expected this problem, or they simply are further back in the cycle with this than they are with the throttle body.
  19. Probably wouldn't hurt to change the oil filter every 5K miles though, plus the 1 quart of oil that necessitates. Bascially, follow the lower of oil filter/oil recommended change interval.
  20. Long wait! Hope it will be a bright, sunny, dry day when you take delivery
  21. Sounds like a bad climate control module. Blend door could be sticking, but doesn't sound like it. When the cool air blows, is it really cold air or just medium cool? If it only gets so-so cool, may want to check coolant level and whether the radiator fans are coming on.
