  1. Are you referring to the bushings for the control arm? I don't know if they are available separately, at least not from Ford directly: Part Description: Lower, RH Quantity Per Vehicle: 1 Package Quantity: 1 Weight: 13.20 lbs Dimensions: 3.75 IN x 12.25 IN x 24.00 IN Aftermarket suppliers can be viewed here: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1434490,parttype,10401 2009 Ford Edge Front Suspension Control Arms.PDF
  2. I hope your ownership experience continues to be smooth sailing, Paul. Quite a rough patch you went through!
  3. Probably needs the purge valve/EVAP lines blown out, something is clogging them. http://repairpal.com/OBD-II-Code-P0451 Could try an emissions-prep gas additive for the fuel tank to clear issues also like here: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/628998-code-p0451-evap-emission-control-system.html http://www.amazon.com/CRC-05063-Guaranteed-Emissions-Formula/dp/B000CIPUR8/
  4. Porous/leaky exhaust manifolds maybe? They should have replaced the exhaust system for you by now, carbonedge! How's your Fusion coming along?
  5. Either the bead is weak, or there is rust along the edges of the wheel, or the valve stems themselves are leaking. You could always do the old soap & water test, but if it's a slow leak, may or may not work.
  6. The only special tool I see mentioned in the manual is the tie-rod-end-remover, plus a wrench. Other than that, you have to remove the stabilizer bar and steering gear to get at the inner tie rod. The lock washer on the inner tie rod end needs to be crimped. HTH.
  7. Do these HID kits work with the 2007-10 Edge also, or commissioned for 2011+ only?
  8. I think the TSB was for 2009 & up? TSB 11-12-10 TSB 11-12-10 6F50-6F55 TRANSMISSION—SLUGGISH ACCELERATION FROM 0-8 KMH (0-5 MPH) FOLLOWED BY A HARSH BUMP OR A SLIP ON TAKE-OFF FOLLOWED BY A BUMP—BUILT ON OR BEFORE 4-15-2011.pdf
  9. Wish I could help. Not sure what the sound is. But as far as the errors, could very well be a wheel speed sensor or wiring leading to the sensor. Any service recently?
  10. Isn't there a TSB for that? harsh bump at low speed starting from a stop, etc.?
  11. Did they say whether a replacement (if needed) would be on their dime also?
  12. Thanks for posting this long-anticipated recall. Much appreciated, and glad to see Ford finally take the bull by the horns.
  13. Here's a diagram: Item Part Number Description 1 9N271 Coolant tube 2 8565 O-ring 3 14A464 Knock sensor (KS) electrical connector 4 W500310 KS bolt (2 required) 5 12A699 KS
  14. From the 2007 Manual: Remove and discard the shock absorber upper nuts. To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).Remove the shock absorber lower bolt, flagnut and shock absorber. Discard the bolt and flagnut. To install, tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
  15. For a hood that's so heavy, you'd think they'd last forever! Do you think it is exposure to the salt during winter that is causing this, or maybe just a poor paint job?
  16. Covered under warranty at least, I hope! Is it at the seam noted earlier by fellow victims?
  17. Don't know. Electronic controls probably not allowing the fuel pump to run. Starter may be unmonitored.
  18. Unless there is a TSB out to address a mechanical or outdated PCM type cause of this issue, your best bet is to work with a tuner to get the shifting just the way you want it. If you are willing to work remotely and datalog, you can talk to Torrie @ Unleashing Tuning in FL. He has tuned a wide variety of vehicles remotely & on location. EMail is the best way to reach him quickly.
  19. 4-6 weeks is normal, so not to worry. Follow up with the dealership to see if they can get you the info.
  20. I would ask Benny in the LevittownFordSuperCenter thread. But the list I gave was for all the parts involved in that specific PTU update, not just the output shaft seal. The Tasca site IS saying output shaft seal, but the part number looks like an Intermediate Shaft Seal per the Ford memo. So, pose the question to Benny to be sure. "Is it 7E5Z-7275-AC or 8T4Z-7275-CD?"
  21. X2. Grease the slide pins on the calipers as they may be sticking, this is an often neglected maintenance routine during brake service.
  22. Which site are you looking at? Here are pics of the axle side of the PTU: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/9004-awd-intermediate-shaft-seal-question/ There was an extension of warranty for PTUs in the Middle East. There are part numbers for the seals in there, hope that helps also: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13533-13m01-middle-east-ptu-extended-warranty/?do=findComment&comment=105230 Part Number Description Quantity AT4Z-7251-B Power Transfer Unit (PTU) with Drain Plug 1 7E5Z-7275-AC Output Shaft Seal Kit 1 8T4Z-7275-CD Intermediate Shaft Seal Kit (includes Cover Seal) 1 8T4Z-7275-DD Intermediate Shaft Seal Kit (does NOT include Cover Seal) 1 7T4Z-7086-A Compression Seal 1 7E5Z-7H469-C PTU Case Driver Gear Seal (Input Shaft Seal) 2 fordpartsgiant.com says the OSS Kit has been updated, so might want to inquire about it: Ford Part Number: 7E5Z-7275-AC KIT This genuine part is manufactured and warranty covered by Ford. Manufacturer's Notes: Replaced By:EB5Z-7275-A
  23. TSB 12-1-5 referred to above. TSB 12-1-5_FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS STRESS CRACK(S) - VEHICLES BUILT ON OR BEFORE 4-22-2011.pdf
  24. I don't know the answer, but if you go to this site, select the 6F50 AWD transmission, then Driveline & Axles, and finally PTO & Components, you can see exploded diagrams of the area. I am thinking it is the flange you are referring to, connecting to the driveshaft?
