  1. I truly hope that is not the case here, omar! Maybe they have improved upon suspension & transmission sufficiently to raise the bar much higher for FWD
  2. Hoping for the city/hwy to be at least in the 20's, to keep up with the 2.0EB ...
  3. If you have DRLs currently (side flashers?) on the Edge, it might have the programming to allow the functionality to be moved to the LED strips instead at the dealer via IDS. But from what I have heard, most dealers don't know how to do it right the first time, so if you go in there prepared with instructions you are better off. PM jmr061, he may have a solution for you. (make 4 test posts here so you can use the PM functionality)
  4. OEM tires & wheels? One possibility: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14165-2013-edge-sport-pulling-to-the-right/?do=findComment&comment=109658 Another possibility is separated tread from tire, replace with a different brand than OEM. Such as Conti CrossContact or Yokohama Parada SpecX, etc.
  5. Is the EPA backlogged, or did Ford submit the vehicle/info late, do you know?
  6. Usually, a sweet smell is coolant, and I hope that is not the case here! Check the coolant level, see if it's low, though it may not appear to be if the leak is a minor one at this point in time.
  7. The glass being curved probably complicates things some more. They can reroute wiring for the heating element/wiper etc., but the spoiler makes flipup impractical, and the curvature makes the slide-down-into-the-panel option a no-go as well IMHO.
  8. A dirty cabin air filter or clogged A/C drain hose are among the top culprits for "funky" smells in the cabin. Is the smell "electrical" or "exhaust-y" or "musty" or ...
  9. Norm, were you able to have this servicing done? How to DIY (demo on an Odyssey): I just saw another DIY product for this on YT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdi-ekOzD1Y Product Info: http://www.lubegard.com/~/C-204/Kool-It+Evaporator+%26+Heater+Foam+Cleaner Might work for you.
  10. Well, hopefully they isolated the right issue this time
  11. My guess would be a redesigned valve cover is involved, not unlike the solution for EcoBoost models. PM thirdgenlxi (Jared) for help, he can get the info for you (if he doesn't see this thread first). Make 4 more posts in the test forum to get to the min 5 post requirement to use the PM feature. This is what I was thinking of: TSB 14-0113 FORD: 2010-2014 Flex, Taurus 2013-2014 Explorer LINCOLN: 2010-2014 MKS, MKT ISSUE Some 2010-2014 Flex, MKS, MKT, Taurus and 2013-2014 Explorer vehicles equipped with a 3.5L Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDI) engine with an aluminum valve cover may exhibit excessive oil consumption and/or excessive engine oil smoking condition from the tail pipe at idle during normal engine operating temperatures. ACTION Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) Valve. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-08. 2. Inspect for oil in the crankcase vent oil separator through the PCV valve opening. Is there presence of liquid oil, more than slight vapor? a. No - this article does not apply refer to WSM, Section 303-00 for Excessive Engine Oil Consumption. b. Yes - proceed to Step 3. 3. Replace the right hand valve cover, refer to WSM, Section 303-01D. 4. Replace the crankcase vent oil separator, refer to WSM, Section 303-08. 5. Drive the vehicle at normal operating temperature for 20 minutes at constant highway speed to remove oil residue from catalytic converter.
  12. My new fav Korean channel is right here!
  13. Welcome to the forum, glad to have you and your '13 SEL here despite a lack of EB. (We forgive you.) Good luck with your search for the right HID kit, there are a few choices to consider!
  14. Should be fine with a one-time drain and fill. Just do another one at 200,000 kms. The idea behind the 3-time drain & fill was to completely exchange the old fluid without having to do a trans flush (more involved). Good thing to do, but not necessary if your Edge is running fine otherwise. If 6 liters came out, 6 should have been put back in. My impression was though that 5 quarts/liters is the normal drain. Try looking at the dipstick from an angle maybe to see where the fluid is on the dipstick?

  16. More along the lines of, if you ran a tune, could it done in the tune? Is it available to the tuner to make happen?
  17. Pretty cool stuff! Wonder if you could run the alternating cylinder mode under normal conditions as a "fuel economy" measure also.
  18. Welcome to the community, and congrats on your beautiful blue '11 SEL!
  19. TSB 14-0037 if you want to look at it: http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd86/GrySql/ScreenShot2014-09-21at80419PM_zpsfd394c52.png
  20. KBS is one of my fav channels. When we had started watching it, they had a lot of family dramas, historical dramas, and the unforgettable "2 Days, 1 Night" fun/adventure show. Been a while since we watched it now ...
  21. True. Never had to replace them on my SHO though, oddly enough.
  22. Like both, but prefer the aluminium & black plating. Gives it more depth & definition IMHO.
