  1. A 3% allowance is built into the AWD system, so if you are outside that, time to get the tire fixed/replaced pronto.
  2. You have a FWD, right, no need to worry about the PTU, that is used only in the AWD models
  3. Wait a minute. You are complaining about FREE debadging? LOL. I second the glue gun or maybe Krazy Glue.
  4. You are right to be wary of the single coil issue, it could very well turn into a PCM issue. But could it cause jerkiness? Sure. Why it started after trans replacement, I do not know.
  5. Just might be time to do that!
  6. No pic Are you looking for aesthetic modifications, or for performance modifications? Tinting, adding LED lights, plastidipping chrome & wheels, are good and relatively easy starts to modding. Performancewise, you can add H&R lowering springs (or go air suspension), a K&N intake, a tune for the ECU, and catback exhaust. First thing to do mechanically, would be the mundane ones: change spark plugs, PCV valve, air filter, oil/oil filter, transmission fluid and PTU fluid. PTU fluid is not so easy, but there is a writeup on adding a drain plug for that purpose.
  7. Yeah, it's pretty bad. Worse than before. I guess they figured nobody scrolls to the bottom, so everything is up top.
  8. Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your Edge! If it is indeed a PCM issue, there should be codes set, per the TSB in this post: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/7326-ignition-coil-malfunction/page-2?do=findComment&comment=68748 and the latest update to that that I am aware of: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=180509 So, first thing to check would be codes, which can be pulled at an auto parts store if you don't have a reader. Also could check your vehicle build date here under the VEHICLE tab: http://www.etis.ford.com/ Ford TSB 11-8-2_Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) On With Diagnostic Trouble codes (DTCS) P0351-P0355 And Or P0356-Built On or Before 1-1-2008.pdf TSB 13-4-17_MIL ON WITH DTCS - P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, AND OR P0356 - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 3-1-2008.pdf
  9. Welcome to the forum, Jiggie, and congrats on your '07 SEL! May it serve you well! What Saturn did you have? I come from an SL1 and SW1 ownership myself.
  10. The grommet you saw is the only one I have seen used, esp. in aftermarket audio wring.
  11. Good to know! Did they say specifically what was wrong with the wheels? Was the cladding coming off? Hope they got it right
  12. The dealership experience can be as mixed as they come. If they continue to be clueless, and won't pull Ford into the loop, I would start a dialog with FordService on here, or with Customer Relations directly to do so. Or if you have another dealer nearby that you are willing to try ...
  13. Happy Thanksgiving, Tricia, come back renewed & refreshed
  14. Maybe the LED should be a thin strip around the circumference of the mirror and flash red for BLIS? Don't want to suggest color changing LED due to issues with ambient lighting
  15. Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours also, Rebecca. Stay safe & enjoy.
  16. Install the 2 brake caliper guide pin bolts. To install, tighten to 26 Nm (19 lb-ft). Using 2 new copper washers, position the brake hose and install the brake caliper flow bolt. Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  17. From Wikipedia: The long-term active ingredient is a non-volatile, viscous oil which remains on the surface, providing lubrication and protection from moisture. MSDS WD-40's main ingredients as supplied in aerosol cans, according to U.S. Material Safety Data Sheet information, are: 50% "aliphatic hydrocarbons". The manufacturer's website specifically claims that this fraction in the current formulation cannot be accurately referred to as Stoddard solvent, a similar mixture of hydrocarbons.[8] <25% petroleum base oil, presumably a mineral oil or light lubricating oil. 12-18% low vapor pressure aliphatic hydrocarbon, to reduce the viscosity for use in aerosols. This fraction evaporates during application. 2-3% carbon dioxide, presumably as a propellant, is now used instead of liquefied petroleum gas to reduce WD-40's considerable flammability. <10% inert ingredients. We definitely don't want anything remaining on the surface! CRC Lectra-motive MSDS Composition/information on ingredients Mixtures Chemical name Common name and synonyms CAS number % Tetrachloroethylene Perchloroethylene 127-18-4 90 - 100 Carbon dioxide 124-38-9 1 - 5 Specific chemical identity and/or percentage of composition has been withheld as a trade secret.
  18. Welcome to the community, and congrats on your '11 Edge. May many a troublefree mile come your way Pix please
  19. Likely a control arm bushing gone bad. In which case you will have to replace the control arm, as the arm & bushing are sold as one unit. An enterprising mechanic MAY be able to replace just the bushing, but I have not heard of a success story with that yet. If it happens when turning, could be involvement of the steering rack.
  20. Sounds more like a damaged or missing antenna to be honest. I THINK it is located where the spoiler is on the rear hatch.
  21. Sounds like the unit needs to be opened to retrieve the CDs. Are all slots full? http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-a-Stuck-CD-from-a-Car-CD-Player http://askville.amazon.com/CDs-stuck-6-CD-changer-2002-Mustang-destroying-stuff/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=5158410
