  1. Time to use that leverage on Ford for quicker delivery Extenuating circumstances ...
  2. The sensors themselves are not that expensive, but if you can find a service shop or are mechanically inclined, the labor costs should be much less. There's no whizbang step that is required in the R&R process.
  3. Keep a cam running on it to capture these odd behaviors/frequency. That will at least give you the ammo to make a strong case.
  4. How many miles on the Edge? A trans fluid drain/fill might take care of it.
  5. Did they replace the belts and timing chain while in for the water pump? Any rough running after the repair? I have seen instances on this forum of the block cracking
  6. And depending on the dealership, you may have a lot of convincing to do if they don't see codes set in memory. TSS/OSS sensor replacement (should be done at the same time) often fixes shudders, sometimes slippages in the transmission.
  7. Simple: Mercon V is all you need for your 2008's transmission (and power steering). You can go aftermarket brands with good success, stick to Castrol Transmax, Valvoline, Royal Purple, Amsoil, even store brands that have received good reviews. DO NOT use Mercon LV, that's for use on later model years and is NOT compatible with your 2008. The PTU and RDU use gear oil, not transmission fluid.
  8. Tirerack.com has all this cool info you can peruse: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/SelectTireSize.jsp?autoMake=Ford&autoModel=Edge+Sport&autoYear=2011&autoModClar=AWD 265/40-22 = OEM tire size for the 22 inch wheels. Stick with that for a troublefree experience. Or something within a 3% difference, esp if you have AWD: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc.php
  9. One of many choices, Dr ColorChip: http://drcolorchip.com/select-color.php GW color code, I believe.
  10. I don't see anything special in the 2007 FSM, probably the same on the 2011. Is this on the driver side rear caliper setup? That would include the parking/emergency brake function. Remove the brake caliper flow bolt and position the brake hose aside. Discard the 2 copper washers. Remove the 2 brake caliper guide bolts and the brake caliper. If a leaking or damaged caliper piston boot is found, install a new disc brake caliper.
  11. Welcome & congrats! How about some nice pics to show off your new ride?
  12. Much demand for this one: how to install roof rails on your Edge (thanks to Richard Mead): http://imgur.com/a/NlwjP
  13. I guess the best they can do is tighten the franchise rules and step up review enforcement?
  14. Well prepared for spring, Jared! Bike adds a different look & contrast to your F4i. Tales of adventure to come, I presume? Would you even need a lift to work on this one? What does your canine family think of it?
  15. Still looking but here's the pic for anyone already knowledgeable:
  16. The insurance company is better suited to parry & thrust with Ford anyway, IMHO.
  17. This is definitely a black eye for Ford, I do wish they could/would be more forthcoming and responsive to their customers on this recall though.
  18. Those guys will do anything to be out and about The extra clearance doesn't hurt either!
  19. Looks great! Did they replace the right headlight? Too bad they didn't do the left one too, nothing a little polishing/sealing wouldn't take care of though.
