  1. What MY is your Edge? Not sure if that is "easier" for most DIY'rs, but it IS good info for those who are willing to try it.
  2. I want mine with sprinkles please.
  3. a) use the parking brake when parked b) search the forum for shift switch issues. Ford has issued an updated switch to fix the "shift to park" warning, which can also drain the battery over time.
  4. would like to see a hybrid system like in the Police Interceptor Utility. but rumors have it that a full electric is planned. we shall see!
  5. well, if you spring for a lithium battery ? about 500$ for a 50 Ah unit, and about 1/3 the weight almost. downside is it would not handle temps below freezing too well.
  6. not from ford, most likely. maybe try mouser, digikey or https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/
  7. Congrats! Seems you like the nature of the Edge enough to carry on!
  8. Nice. I would like to see how they stack up to GTR Lighting and Diode Dynamics products.
  9. The clips are designed to retain, and they do that all too well, LOL. It can be a struggle coordinating loosening their grip just enough and taking the bulb out before they snap back, and not breaking the bulb in the process or leaving it covered in fingerprints, or ....
  10. check the service manual available here https://drive.google.com/drive/u/2/folders/1wBzOTmEZvCvnzvmTI470QBGyYX60xDBh hope it is of help to you. and good luck!
  11. Very nice. I also like Blues Traveler for a harmonica forward rockin' good time.
  12. The HVAC module controls the ambient lighting as well, check to make sure the connections and pins are in good working order. Could be you need to update sync to the latest revision, if you have sync. 3.11, IIRC.
  13. ask Jeff Leeper at https://www.fxbgkeys.com/ . I know he has "universal" fobs that can be programmed to different vehicles, but IDK about multiple vehicles on the same fob. My remote start tho has 2 vehicle capability, so it is quite possible.
  14. IIRC, almost as much as a heater core change or a timing job at an independent service center. You can check for yourself at repairpal.com.
  15. yeah, YEARS ago, it was true that Optima was awesome. But YEARS ago, they also had 7 year warranties lol. If you buy one, keep an eye on voltage. If it starts dropping below 12.6V with engine off, it is on its' way out. The problem is apparently the internal connections, not the lead or the layout.
  16. if it's time to do struts, you can get assemblies instead, or make your own like MACT did
  17. Sonax makes a nice product, for leather and alcantara.
  18. yes, h6 will fit, but i would not recommend optima. i have 2 redtops just gathering dust right now after only a year of service, despite regular topups and plenty of driving. i would go with Deka, or Napa, or Odyssey. If you are shelling out the $$$, Odyssey is really the way to go. They make a 34 size battery in the Extreme Performance lineup that will fit perfectly.
  19. Assuming coolant is fresh, there are no air pockets, etc., how are the heater core inlet/outlet performing? Are they both hot? You may need to try a replacement HVAC module, found cheaply on eBay.
