  1. I assume you have tried Fuel Injector Cleaner via the gas tank? Techron or BG being among the most documented brands for actually working. The problem can definitely lie elsewhere (spark plug (not so sure), fuel injector (not so sure), wiring, PCM, throttle body/throttle position sensor, fuel pump, etc.), but worth a try. Any particular RPM at the time you notice the issue, or all over the place?
  2. From the owner's manual: Headlamp high beam. 9005LL 55W Headlamp low beam. H11LL 55W High-intensity discharge headlamps. D3S HID
  3. The battery voltage on my '07 (not on a "smart" system like the 2011+) is reading about 13.9 - 14.4 when the Edge is running, rarely if ever above or below. The battery IS new, put it in a couple of months ago.
  4. This won't alleviate your frustration/concerns, but as akirby and others have pointed out multiple times, keep all your receipts/documentation together, and when the time finally comes to get your Edge back and look it over, file for reimbursement/damages. May need a lawyer to get you through the process, so start looking for one now as well.
  5. Welcome to the forum, congrats on the '15 Edge! What trim level/color/etc did you get with it? Pics to share?
  6. Looks great How did you align the new projectors inside the aftermarket headlight units? Is it adjustable? Does the highbeam functionality remain? TIA.
  7. That's the amount of fluid it takes when the PTU is bonedry. What is actually needed in your PTU will vary depending on a] current volume, and b] volume you take out. So the fluid spec'd in the manual is the MAXIMUM you can put back in before overfilling occurs. Make sure the Edge is level when you drain & fill the PTU. Using a tie strap, measure 44.5 mm (1.75 in) from the end and bend it at a 90-degree angle, measure from the end up to 38.1 mm (1.5 in) and place an index mark. Place it in the filler opening and check the fluid. The correct fluid level will be between the bottom of the dipstick and the 38.1 mm (1.5 in) maximum fill mark. Adjust the fluid level as necessary. Slowly add fluid in to the correct fill specification.Do not overfill the PTU. This will cause the fluid to be forced out of the unit.
  8. If you like, you can put up pics of your other rides (would love to see the Duc and the Buell) here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/1730-post-pics-of-your-other-rides/ If you see a really well-maintained Tux Black 2013 Taurus SHO around your area, you should stop and say hi to the driver (Tom). Great guy.
  9. Is that surface rust or perforating rust LOL ...
  10. Good luck, hope the visit goes well! I do know of at least 1 dealer in PA that will swap out PTU/RDU fluids, if your dealer does not.
  11. Here are a couple of other threads to browse: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/1730-post-pics-of-your-other-rides/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11385-post-a-picture-of-your-other-ride/
  12. Lights look good! Way less glare on the dash, nicely done. Sync emblem near shifter?
  13. Welcome to the forum, ducrider, congrats on your (unintended) '15 Sport! There are paddle shift options nowadays, but nothing quite like the feeling of rowing through the gears Hopefully you will avg out in the high mid 20's once the Edge is broken in, not too far from the Fusion. Have you tried the Sport mode on the Edge yet to see if acceleration is any better? Do you have AWD or FWD? I'm sure a tune will make a major difference to the way it eats up the asphalt As far as the LED sig lights, wonder if that is a DRL thing that needs to be switched on by the dealer? BTW, you have a Ducati?
  14. I certainly hope your Edge is troublefree!!! I made the list more for you to be aware of the issues that MAY crop up, and have time to be prepared to deal with them. No panic situations What I would really do right away is make sure the PCM calibration is up to date, and have the PTU fluid level/condition checked (depending on whether this is a good servicing dealer or not, may have to go independent). There should be CPO/powertrain warranty covering the PTU to 5 yr/60K mark at least. I forgot to mention Wheel Bearings. More of an issue on the '07-'10, but worth knowing about. I hope your extended warranty is a Ford warranty? You can compare them here.
  15. Seems there are 3 part numbers for them, depending on rain-sensitive wipers/power or automatic tilt steering column, etc. You can see the selection here: http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/CatalogResults.aspx?y=2013&m=Ford&mo=Edge&initSearch=1&keyword=window%20wiper%20switch# 17A553 (SW-6963) Window Wiper Switch With Manual Tilt/Slide Stg Column ; Speed Sensitive Windscreen Wipers; Black Vehicle Build Date before: 5/31/2013 17A553 (SW-6964) Window Wiper Switch With Manual Tilt/Slide Stg Column ; Rain Sensitive Windshield Wipers; Black or With Power Tilt/Telescopic Strg Column 17A553 (SW-7037) Window Wiper Switch With Manual Tilt/Slide Stg Column ; Speed Sensitive Windscreen Wipers; Black Vehicle Build Date after: 6/1/2013
  16. Great pics, thanks for putting them up! Nice view thru the panoramic too
  17. The core engine and transmission are very reliable. Now, what attaches to them, generally I'd say above average, but a few things are way below average expectations, I think.
  18. You are an investigator-type, would have figured it out right quick
  19. Welcome, Aaron, and congrats to you both on grabbing this beautiful '13 specimen! To see any safety related details or get parts/service coupons, you can hop on to http://owner.ford.com I guess the first "business" question would be of warranty and whether you have AWD/FWD. If you have AWD, you may have to contend with PTU issues down the road. More well known with the 07-10's, but creeping into the 11+ consciousness lately. Don't believe the "lifetime" fluid hype. Have the fluid level & condition checked by a competent mechanic or DIY. Door ajar sensor: A most annoying issue. If you are a DIY'er, cost of part + elbow grease. Not too bad. Throttle Body Failure: Can be a heartstopping experience in traffic. No extended warranty yet from Ford, though they may have a way to at least diagnose it now via an updated PCM calibration. APIM: Has an extended warranty from Ford, should it fail. Happens time to time. Brake Booster Failure: Extended warranty coverage on this as well. Drive Axle Failure: Very rare to hear (at least on the Edge), but can happen. Recall is out for it.
  20. Welcome to the forum, Teddis, and congrats on your '15 SEL! I'd think the OEM HIDs are 4300K, normally the 2700-3000K are reserved for fog lighting.
  21. Sorry to hear, Dean! Best of luck with the process, hope they treat you right!
