Will 2015 18" OEM Explorer wheels fit on 2011 Sport?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to bboytails's topic in Wheels & Tires
Any idea if a spacer would resolve the rubbing issue, omar302? -
Probably just needs a clamp on it, a spring clamp like they put on at the factory is best, keeps pressure on the hose even and keeps it from splitting.

Front sway bar bushings and stab links?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to shumax's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Do the control arm bushings look OK? That's another possible culprit. I think there is a built in spot on the stabilizer link studs that you can use to hold them steady with a hex bit (the "holding feature" as the factory service manual calls it) while you are loosening the nuts. But IIRC, this may not work due to age/rust and you may have to cut off the links with a Sawzall or something similar. The stabilizer bar bushings may be replaceable, but don't see any instructions in the manual pertaining to them. -
Welcome, Nic! So which fuse did you replace? Is the car turning over but not starting, or not turning over at all? Maybe you didn't reconnect all the cables when you were replacing the light bulb?

No way it's E90! That would have a triple digit octane rating easy (100% = 113 octane). Pic?

What to expect at 200,000+ miles

Welcome to the community and congrats on the '13 Limited! Does the noise vary with the fan speed also? Assume you are using AC, not heat? First thing I'd check (if indeed related to the climate control) is the cabin air filter. More than likely it has never been changed, and may be clogged or littered with debris. Sometimes the foam that lines the vents can also come loose and cause various noises.

Did you do the DTBL reverse lights by any chance, mindawyn? I am thinking about it. -
Ask Benny here on the LevittownFordSuperCenter thread if he can help. Or if you can take a bushing to a parts/hardware store (like NAPA here in the U.S.) maybe they can match it up to another part that will work.

Aside from the driveshaft, I only see the center support bushings: 7T4Z-4A169-A 7T4Z-4A169-B No leaks from the PTU or RDU? Fluid level/condition OK?

You are correct, I forgot all about them! Think I can improve aerodynamics by putting some extra ones on the hood and spoiler/tailgate? -

WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to macbwt's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
The interesting thing is, with the 2007, given the right conditions (cruising/coasting, no major accessories, etc.), I see high 90's for the instantaneous mpg -

If this EB is anything like the 3.5EB currently in the SHO/Flex/Explorer, here is what gives you the best bang for the buck: http://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php/topic,808 I do hope the aftermarket shows interest in the components described in the link!

Sounds like some damage is yet to be revealed. Are the wheels checked to be straight and true? Ditto for tires. Maybe even brakes (can you believe it!). http://www.aa1car.com/library/steerpul.htm http://www.agcoauto.com/content/news/p2_articleid/307
