  9. Welcome benoborich, glad to have you and your '11 Edge here!!! Good luck in your search for the '15. As far as heat, consider tinting. With good film, you can significantly cut down on the interior heating or fading. If you get a sunroof, tint that as well.
  10. The Pacifica actually inspired me to look into the Edge.
  11. You are now officially in charge of the Ford Edge Rescue Unit!
  12. This is currently only a TSB, not a warranty extension, so if you are out of the B2B period, you have to pay out of pocket. If it were me, I'd make the time to do it myself, unless you have $450 lying around to spend. If you have a mechanically inclined friend, so much the better. Maybe a case of beer would do the trick
  13. Maybe the prev owner was not as gentle with Lulubelle as they were on the OC.
  14. The humming/clicking will turn to grinding soon enough. So first thing to do is figure out how far it's gone. For that, you need to get under the Edge and extract the fluid. If there are metal shavings/pieces in the fluid itself, you have a serious issue. There will be shavings on the plug, not a big deal. But as long as the fluid doesn't look like chunky soup, I'd do what wlepse said. Change/flush the PTU fluid a few times over the next few months. It should get better each time you do a drain & fill because of the frequency of the D&R. So maybe monthly for the first 3 months, then just check to see. By that time, the PTU should be functioning properly, not optimally, but close enough. EBay is probably the cheapest source for a new PTU, or you could take a chance with a junkyard unit if you have to. A non-dealer shop should be able to install for much less, just be sure to get a reputable shop.
  15. I used to have this behavior until I changed out spark plugs, believe it or not, no codes, no misfires, no nothing. It COULD be needing a PCM update, sure, worth checking. You had a trans flush done on Lulubelle, right? Check the fluid and make sure it's clean. Though I doubt it is the trans.
  16. Air filter, oil & filter, tire pressure are all things you can check/change to ensure you get the best mileage. Since your Sport has very low miles, I'd even be tempted to run a bottle of Techron fuel injector cleaner through the tank to clean up any deposits.
  17. Have the TSB/extended warranty coverage with you when you go to the dealer to get it fixed. Shouldn't require any more than that. ten years of service or 150,000 miles Certain 2010-2013 model year Edge and MKX vehicles built at the Oakville Assembly Plant from May 3, 2010 through March 28, 2013. Affected vehicles are identified in OASIS. Check using your VIN on owner.ford.com. That should tell you what all applies to you. Even if it doesn't apply to you, the dealer probably has the latitude to do the warranty work if the technical conditions match.
  18. Definitely deformed trim around the windows. I think the headliner problem though has been a frequent one in the past MYs.
  19. I usually remove the cargo mat when putting the seat backs down for cargo hauling, put a tarp on instead that covers the floor and sides.
  20. 1. Remove carpeting 2. Paint per your chosen color scheme 3. Insert wash tub 4. Done! Custom industrial look for the Edge!
  21. Wonder if these "returns" will be marked as new or reflect their "wet" history. How does this process normally work for future buyers?
  22. Welcome mtsandersk, and congrats on the '13 Limited!
  23. Welcome to the forum, Cosmo, and congrats on the '15 Sport! Will be interested in your comparisons of the MKX/Edge over time
  24. If the work isn't already underway, it could take a year for them to start it and actually produce the part. I guess there isn't enough demand for suspension parts, they must be "lifetime" like everything else
